Feng Jianyu leaned down and slammed his lips to hers without any warning. The moment their warm lips touched, Xiu Mei's eyes widened in shock as she tightly clenched his shirt. This was the most unexpected thing in the name of a response.

His hand cupped her face below the year, his thumb caressing her soft red cheeks like coaxing a kitten as their breaths mingled.

He tried to be as gentle as possible to make her first kiss memorable instead of scary. After all, he doesn't want to frighten her.

Xiu Mei didn't know what happened but her shoulders scrunched in and her whole body stiffened by the fear of strange sensations. Her defense mechanism kicked in and her lips clamped tightly together.

But soon she realized some stray feelings when he pressed his tongue at the seam of her lips to grant access inside her personal space. She snapped out from her thoughts and finally shoved him away from her.

The air rushes from her chest, making her feel weak from the kiss as she tries to calm down her frantic heart. Their eyes met for a split second but she averted her gaze inadvertently from Feng Jianyu's face.

Biting her lips she looked down and fidgets with her hands. Her face, cherry red because of the brief kiss they have shared.

Feng Jianyu got scared by her sudden change in behavior. He decided that he'd better address the issue that bothered her so much before it creates any more problems.

”Mei, did I shock you with that kiss?” he asked cautiously.

Xiu Mei shook her head like a rattle drum. But the next moment He answered his own question, ”I suppose I did.”

He held her tight to his chest and rubbed her back gently, ”It's alright; just relax. If you're not comfortable I won't do it. ” A frown appeared, when he realized she is shivering despite her body is warm.

Hiding her face in his chest she answered her dilemma, ”No… A- Actually problem is with me. I don't want you to feel disgusted because of the kiss”
