She cried out, ”I lost my eyes again. How will I tell him that I didn't take care of his fiancee's eyes? I'm despicable…”

These words alarmed him. The temperature around him turned into a cold icy wind from artic. Feng Jianyu's eyes flashed with killing intent, as more and more layers of the horrible truth of the night are coming out. 'That inhuman bastard didn't even spare her eyes? She was just a child dammit. Just how much had he made her suffer?'

”Do Something…. Please… Stop the pain, I beg you…”

She stifled, she cried, she struggled in his arms, trying to break free her clasped hands from his tight grip. She wanted to touch her stinging eyes but Jianyu didn't allow her to do this, seeing her desperate situation he knows she is not in her senses and can cause more damage by touching her already sensitive eyes. He hated himself for doing this but it's important for her, so he tightened his heart and refused to buzz.

He was angry, but his tone was extremely gentle when he spoke to her, ”Sorry love… just a little while. The doctor is coming… I'm sorry… I didn't know my one action will give you this much pain…. I'm sorry” Her every sob was getting unbearable for him. He would rather let his eyes suffer from this pain than hers. Feeling helpless, he kept on glancing at the door, hoping for the doctor. These 15 minutes seems like an eternity to him.

After making a call Feng Junjie came running to his brother holding the phone. ”Bro. Senior cousin is on phone.”

”Put the phone on speaker!”

Wang Shi: ”Jianyu….”

”Dammit come fast… She's in pain!” Feng Jianyu roared angrily.

Wang Shi: ”I'm coming. The senior ophthalmologist is with me; just explain him briefly what's the situation so he can guide you for the first aid. Phone is on speaker…”

Feng Jianyu explained the situation at his best.

Senior ophthalmologist can hear the muffled sound of someone crying in the background. He instructed Jianyu to not let her touch, press or rub her eyes and wipe them with sterilized cotton pads dipped in chilled water to sooth the burning pain.

Feng Junjie heard the instructions, ”Bro. I'll get cotton pads and chilled water.”

After some time…

When Wang Shi enters inside Xiu Mei's room along with the senior doctor, he noticed the couple in a complete mess. Xiu Mei was sprawled in his brother's arms and he was coaxing her like a child. Both their clothes were wet; don't know if it was because of her tears, sweat or the chilled water with which Jianyu was painstakingly trying to ease out the burning pain in Xiu Mei's eyes. Their hair and clothes were messy and out of place.

Feng Junjie was standing on the side, helping Jianyu in holding the cotton pads on her eyes, because his brother has to clamp the girl tightly in his arms to avoid her touching her eyes.

Her crying had turned into sobs and hiccups… After struggling so much, she had absolutely no strength left…

As soon as Jianyu saw Wang Shi, he called out for him, ”Hurry up! Help her, please…. Uncle Choy, do something to ease out her pain”
