Chapter 186 - Open war against Feng Corporation (1/2)
All the communication is done through her young assistant Bai Xin. She herself communicates with her boss through emails and phone call to take instructions.
In the conference room, the masked lady was surrounded by a group of country's top lawyers, company's legal representatives, and few executives.
They received an overnight notice for this emergency meeting to discuss an important matter that can affect the company's reputation in the market.
”President, Infinity Software is a product of Feng Corporation and has been in their product portfolio for seven years. Now all of a sudden if ROBOMIND- TECH will claim it's right on the product, it can backfire on us. We will be the laughing stock in the business circle for claiming rights on the product after seven years. Nobody will believe in our claim!” The company's head of legal department spoke cautiously when he came to know that their President wants to file a legal suit against Feng's with respect to legal rights over Infinity Software.
”I agree with this. Moreover, it will be considered as an open war against Feng Corporation. Getting into the bad books of a big conglomerate like Feng Corporation is not beneficial for us.” One of the executives voiced out his thoughts.
With this everybody turned their gaze at the masked lady, anticipating for a response.
Rolling a black pen in between her fingers casually, she was holding her silence as if thinking about something. All the lawyers and company representatives sitting in the room were equally silent, holding their breath in fear of what decision their President will take.
It's not they are scared of their boss but today she seems to behave differently… her eyes were cold and indifferent, making them shiver involuntarily.
After a moment she took a deep breath and said, ”I don't care… Send the legal notice to Feng Corporation. Tell them to either join hands with us and share the 70% profit with 8.3% compounded interest for seven years, of the money earned from Infinity Software till date. Plus, let go of Infinity Software permanently from their grasp. Otherwise, according to corporate law ROBOMIND- TECH holds the right to file a piracy, cheating and defamation case against them for using one of our unfinished products without prior permission”
Hearing this, for a one whole minute there was an awkward silence in the conference room and everybody stared at their expressionless President with a mouth wide agape. It's not they have doubt on her capabilities but a baby fish can't go against the blue whale, no matter even if the fish is baby eel or baby piranha. A whale is a whale and fish is fish…
”Huh? Join hands with ROBOMIND-TECH? 70% profit with 8.3% compounded interest for seven years? Let go of Infinity software permanently? Or face a legal suit? Aren't these things the most impossible when it comes to fighting against Feng Corporation, President?”
”President, considering our company's strict guidelines regarding the selection process of evaluating a company to work with, do you think Feng Corporation is worthy enough to work with us?”
”Exactly, looking through our previous work record, we have rejected every offer of working with private entities due to their non-fulfillment of our mandatory CSR profit contribution”
”Feng Corporation's CEO Feng Jianyu is famous for being a ruthless businessman in the corporate circle. He will never entertain our demands and share profits with us and that too with 8.3% interest. It's too risky to mess with Feng Corporation when we don't have any proof that Infinity Software was our product”
”Considering our demand of asking Feng Corporation to give up on Infinity Software is also not feasible. It's already a dead product in the market after being outpassed by SIRIUS.”
”I don't think fighting against a powerful company like Feng Corporation for a dead product is worth our money and efforts. We should drop the ideas”
