Bai Xin went out to check when she hears a commotion outside the room and came inside instantly to relay that it was Kong Liu demanding a meeting with Xiu Mei.
Feng Jianyu's gaze darkened. He looked at the assistants, ”Both of you turn around. And if any of you dare to look back he/she will face a salary cut of six months. Although confused, both the assistants turned around instantly.
Xiu Mei ”….”
Without saying a word, he drew Xiu Mei closer and said, ”Let me announce our relationship to this one” After speaking he placed her onto his lap and Xiu Mei's cheeks burned red.
She let out a gasp and unconsciously looked at the assistants. All of a sudden, Feng Jianyu lifted her chin up to access her neck and was biting and sucking on it to make a creation on this white canvas.
”Let her in” he ordered before leaving Xiu Mei alone.
Still handcuffed, the lady police officer brought Kong Liu inside.
Xiu Mei looked at Kong Liu, her eyes were red…. But she sensed they are red not because of guilt or remorse but anger.
Earlier she didn't get the chance to lash out, so now was the time she was looking to come back at Xiu Mei.
”Boss, this woman was lurking outside the room”
Kong Liu looked at the police officer in complete shock. Why did she address XM as the boss? However, she didn't have to wait longer to get the answer.
”Good Job! You can call it a day. Make sure to apply antiseptic on your hand” Xiu Mei let the police officer go as she bowed in courtesy and left, handing over cuff keys to Bai Xin.
”Miss. Kong…. Ah! F*ck the respect…. don't try to comprehend the situation, you'll fail” Bai Xin can't resist Kong Liu's funny expression and jumped in to explain, ”She was not a police officer but XM's one of many bodyguards. I used my father's library and computer to build the software. A pet lives off of his master's leftovers but your entire family shamelessly leeched on me. Now tell me who is the real pet? Who was raising whom?” Xiu Mei raised her chin up and answered calmly.
”You….” Before she could say something the bright red marks on Xiu Mei's neck caught Kong Liu's attention. They were little swollen indicating XM got it recently. She frowned. There was a whiff of a familiar fragrance in the air; she knew it was Clive Christian perfume, Feng Jianyu's favorite.
Her anger surged. With a malicious thought, she gave a devilish smile, ”I know what's making you fly so high in the sky. Because of Feng Jianyu's backing. Right? But let me tell you something…” Her lips twitched into a cruel smirk, ”Feng family is no different than Kongs”
”No different? You are comparing darkness with the light yet calling them same”
”That's what you think. Did Feng Jianyu not tell you about his undeniable connection with Yangs? Did he not tell you about your real father?”
Xiu Mei didn't answer but looked behind over the shoulder. Feng Jianyu was sitting on the giant swivel chair facing it towards the window.
Kong Liu followed Xiu Mei's vision and saw the chair being turned.
