Feng Jianyu looked at the ring box and hesitated a little before opening it, revealing a beautiful ring that featured a pear-shaped sapphire as the crown and a cluster of twelve marquise diamond pear-shaped weighing a total of 3.97 carats, set in platinum. It belongs to the Eagle collection of HW jewelry house, one of a kind piece.
Lu Xion saw the diamond ring; the hesitation on Xiu Mei's face didn't go unnoticed from his eyes and so as Feng Jianyu's. He instantly closed the box. ”I know… I know…. No need to feel pressurized, I was just trying my luck with the diamond ring. It's just that I like the design very much; it'd look perfect on your slender long fingers. Hold on….”
Xiu Mei looked at him surprisingly as he pulled out another box from the pocket and opened it. The other ring was equally beautiful and available in a set. Made of Rose gold, the man's ring was sandblasted and lightly hand-hammered while the women's ring looks like interlocked vines. What made the rings special was the imprint of the woman's ring inside the rim of man's ring as if the woman's ring was cut out of it.
The meaning was clear 'I carry you in my heart'….
Xiu Mei crouched down in front of the man, she cupped his face lovingly and nudged his nose with hers. Still crying, she rests her forehead over his, ”You monster… Stop being so adorable….” She hugged him tightly, amidst her crying it was impossible for her to say something.
”Mei, rings…..”
Xiu Mei giggled at the overdose of cuteness and kissed below the ear before she pulled back and got up, ”Forever I'm yours, eternally you are mine” she extended her hand and he took the simple ring out of the box but heard her say, ”Jianyu… am I allowed to be greedy?”
He looked up at her questionably and she pointed at the pocket where the diamond ring was, ”I like it more. But this simple ring is special due to the implicit meaning behind the design. Please, I want both the rings…”
His eyes sparkled like thousand stars showing the most charming smile and Xiu Mei realized that letting go of some things can be the reason for someone's happiness.
Feng Jianyu reached for Xiu Mei's left hand and slides the rings on her ring finger and gave a kiss, his lips lingered for a long time on her fingers. He got up and took her in his embrace while she showed the rings to everyone.
Xiu Mei took out the man's ring from the box and slides it on Jianyu's ring finger.
Once more the fireworks played, illuminating the dark sky….
Feng Jianyu and Xiu Mei looked into each other's eyes…
”C'mon kids… cover your eyes… Uncle and aunty are going to do something that's not appropriate for you to see” Feng Junjie instructed and covered the eyes of two kids but they pulled his hands down. ”No! We want to see….”
