Chapter 359 - No misunderstandings (1/2)

The air around Feng Jianyu turned as cold as the grave, yet he felt as if someone was poking red hot needles inside his body, slowly, painfully melting him to nothing.

Xiu Mei shifted to hug him and rested her head on his heart to hear the music that calms her down. ”I'm literally carved out from the same mold as my mother. If Mr. Feng had known my mother, he would have definitely recognized the similarities between us” She looked up at the man from his chest, ”In that case, he would have investigated about me or maybe inform his friend about the girl that looks like his wife. But none of this happened”

She let out an exhausting sigh and returned back to hug him, ”Whatever the reason is, I just know these pictures are fake. There's no reality in it. Right Jianyu?”

Feng Jianyu hugged her tightly afraid she'd leave him.

Xiu Mei noticed he was behaving oddly. Her expression turned serious as she looked up ”What are you thinking?”

Some time passed when he finally spoke, ”Mei, there are hundred percent chances that these photographs are true”

Xiu Mei was baffled for few seconds as if she failed to immediately understand the meaning behind Feng Jianyu's statement, ”What….? What do you mean?”

”Back then when Feng Corporation was on the verge of bankruptcy it was your father who helped us to come out of the situation. There's something more…..” Feng Jianyu took a deep breath. Xiu Mei saw him taking off his wristwatch as he opened the back flap and take out a microchip. ”This is the same chip that I found in Kong Da's safe. It contains the entire video of that night and some important information”

Xiu Mei blankly extended her hand to take the chip but he instantly secured it inside his fist. Her finger brushed on his closed fist, she was not letting anything, her pupils dilated, her face blank. To be exact her face reflected her current state of mind.

She could not utter a single word.

”How could this be possible….?”

It was as if Feng Jianyu was afraid that he might not be able talk about the topic again so he revealed everything about her father's relation with Yang and the Feng family, including why she was involved in this fiasco and became part of the dispute. However, to keep her away from reliving the trauma he didn't mention the details of how she was tortured and what they did to her.

She withdrew her finger from his fist and hide it under her dress before she clenched them tightly. She felt the sharp pain of her long nails digging deeper into her palm and closed her eyes.

And a tear rolled down to her cheek followed by another making a trail down her delicate neck.
