Chapter 453 - Same eyes, 20% resemblance of the face (1/2)

Feng Jianyu and Xiu Mei's face were dark by the end of the video. They were livid. It was a soundless video clip where Mo Zhichan was seen banging his fist and head on the glass wall, shouting 'Where is my daughter.'

Xiu Mei had kept a tab on her father from the day she came to know about him, she was literally watching him daily but has never seen him react this way. Whenever she saw him sitting in the corner looking at the things blankly her heart pained endlessly but she had seen what others failed to see.

Her father might be in the cage for over twenty years but his knowledge was up to date, there was still a tinge of spark in his eyes as if preparing himself for something. She has noticed him standing at the glass wall for hours, looking at the scientists as they worked and murmur something.

His calmness gave her the courage to take careful steps and not do anything that might place him or her in danger. Last night Lu Xion, Bai Xin, Wu Zixin and Yeti helped to rescue Zian's family from the island.

Sadly, the same cannot be done in case of her father. Although she can breach the security of the Smoke Island (Yang Sheng's third base) with the information Yang Zian has shared with her but the place where her father was held captive was something else.

It was a separate area, secured by the seven layers of protection to keep everyone away. The passwords are only known to Yang Sheng and the head scientist who work there. The smallest mistake will activate the auto lockdown, trapping everyone inside the base.

Xiu Mei's lips pressed into a thin line when she saw her father crying for her non-stop.

She felt Feng Jianyu's hand on her head. ”Yang Sheng is playing a dirty trick. Don't fall into his trap.” He could clearly see Yang Sheng must have said something to Mo Zhichan taking Xiu Mei's name to get this reaction from him. Then he sends the same video to Xiu Mei to provoke her. If his speculation is not wrong, soon, Yang Sheng will call her and try to force her to come to his base.

Xiu Mei nodded her head, ”Can you pass me the laptop? I want to see how father is holding up.”

Feng Jianyu got down from the bed and return with her laptop. He saw her trying to access the surveillance video but the next second shut the laptop with a scoff.

Feng Jianyu understood. ”He has shut down the surveillance.”

Xiu Mei: ”Least he knows this is going to be one of his biggest mistakes. Now I'm free to play with my spidy.”

”Spidy?” Feng Jianyu was confused and saw her wink mischievously.

”Ask Jin to bring my Orange. I need its help.” Xiu Mei gets down from the bed and rushed to the bathroom to freshen up.

With her gaze stuck to the entrance, Xiu Mei was desperately waiting for Feng Jin to come back with Orange. Feng Jianyu has called Feng Jin umpteenth number of times seeing his wife's restlessness.

With the sound of the chopper, Xiu Mei jumped but her excitement was short-lived when instead of Feng Jin it was Zian who entered with sloppy body posture, panda eyes, walking as if dragging his body. Letting out an exhaustive breath he sprawled on the couch.

Zian: ”Before any of you ask… Zian number two has passed the dangerous time. Rest assured, he will definitely see his wife giving birth.”
