71 Chapter 70 Life In Hospital (1/2)
The guy escorting is Scott. He has short black hair, a white colored T-shirt and light brown cargo pants. With noise-cancelling headphones in hand we walked towards the shooting range.
As we stood at our shooting range Scott began to teach us how to use the gun.
”Your stance should be something we call nose over toes. What it means is you should lean forwards just enough for your nose to be over your feet make sure feet are shoulder widths apart” Said Scott while giving an example.
Scott continued by showing us how to properly hold the gun and that we should relax while holding it. After that Megan and I got into our own cubicles and got ready.
With my headphones on I looked to my left through the plastic glass that divided us and smiled at Megan before shouting ”Are you ready!!”
”Loser has to do a favour for the other” Shouted Emily
”You're on, hey Scott can you be the judge” I ask
”Yeah, sure” Said Scott
With that said Megan begins to pop shots at the target. I, on the other hand, slow my breathing down causing my body to turn into a cushion. Then with both hands on the gun, I pull the trigger lightly.
*BANG!*
The noise and recoil caused me to flinch. The flinch in turn made me tense up and jump back instinctively. Getting back into the stances I attempt again.
*Bang*
'Still not good enough, come I just need to find the sweet spot' I thought quietly.
Putting the gun down I do a quick shake to pump my self up. Picking up the gun I retrace my steps.
'Shoulder width. . . . relax. . . finger on the trigger. . . . breath slow and. . . '
*Bang*
[<Intermediate Gun Skill Acquired>]
[<Gun Shooting Talent Discovered>]
The systems prompt had given me a boost in confidence. So I started shooting with 3 seconds in between every shot.
*Bang*. . .*Bang*. . . *Bang*. . . etc
After shooting every bullet I put down the gun and looked to see Megan with a bright smile say ”Fun right!”
I reply excitedly ”Hell yeah, we should do this often!”
We then waited for our paper target to come back from the end. As it got closer I already knew I won. My grouping was more packed when compared to Megan's who's bullets were scattered about on the paper man.
(Grouping: How close or scattered the shots are)
”Nice aim, you got there are you sure this is the first time” Asked Scott
”Yeah it is, I actually missed completely in the first two shots” I said
Scott nodded and said ”Well we have a clear winner from my point of view. So do you guys still need me to stick around and teach cause I could do with a break”
”I think we got it, thanks for the help Scott” I said
”Yes, Thank you very much” Said Megan.
