145 Preparing Escape Plans (1/2)

While Princess Lingchen and Chief Ye stayed in the treatment room, the others gathered outside as they wait for the result. After a few minutes of waiting, the Princess' maidservant, Ah Zhen, entered the room with a tray of refreshment. Ying Yi walked behind her, carrying a few snacks.

After a while, Jiang Xiao Tian went towards Han Zhenting and coaxed the elderly to rest in his room. It will take a while before the treatment ended. Han Zhenting only agreed after Jiang Xiao Tian promised that he would come and wake him as soon as the door opened.

One of Han Zhenting's assistant walked in and whispered something to Jiang Xiao Tian, and soon, Jiang Xiao Tian stepped outside. His older brother, Jiang Xiao Xian, was waiting for him outside. There were two soldiers beside him.

When Jiang Xiao Xian saw his brother, he immediately asked the two soldiers to stepped away. ”How is everything?” Jiang Xiao Xian asked.

”The Princess is still in the treatment room,” Xiao Tian answered.

The young general nodded. ”I have prepared everything I could. The others have been notified. If anything goes wrong with the Princess,..”

Jiang Xiao Tian understood although his brother did not finish his words. The Crown Princess was not the only one who was making a gamble. If something went wrong with the Princess, the Jiang family would definitely be labeled as a traitor. And traitors can only face death. Therefore, Jiang Xiao Xian and their father has been preparing a few escape plans for the other family members to live.

If it were up to the Jiang's family, they would not allow the Princess to go. However, Jiang Xiao Tian now served the Crown Princess side. The Princess was stubborn to go, and he had no other choice but to stay by her side and hope that Chief Ye will be able to treat her.

”I have stationed a few of my men around this infirmary. If something went wrong, they will act first and capture the Prince and his grandmother,” Jiang Xiao Tian said.

The young general nodded. The two siblings had a brief conversation before Jiang Xiao Xian excused himself to take care of a few things. When Jiang Xiao Tian entered the room, Prince Lu Wei was still guarding the door, while Ah Zhen and Ying Yi sat waiting for the door to open.

Jiang Xiao Tian nodded towards the two guards at the door and sauntered towards the Prince.

”Commander Jiang,” Prince Lu Wei greeted politely. However, his body was stiff as he was on guard. ”You know that you cannot enter the room until the treatment finished,” he reminded.

”I know,” Jiang Xiao Tian nodded. ”I just wanted to have a conversation with you as we waited for time to pass.”

Prince Lu Wei's body relaxed a bit. ”What do you want to talk about?”

”Your Highness,” Jiang Xiao Tian's voice was low. ”You and Chief Ye are from the Nanlin Tribe.”

The Prince stared at Jiang Xiao Tian. ”Is that a question or a statement?”

”I have been looking for ways to treat the Crown Princess' poison for years. Naturally, I have done some investigation on the lost tribe,” Jiang Xiao Tian said. ”The last information we had was that a descendant of the tribe was residing in Qian Rong. However, when my men tried to find this descendant, the villagers said that she had gone missing after one night. This descendant was your mother, and the night she went missing from the village, and she was taken in into the palace.”

Prince Lu Wei chuckled. ”Commander Jiang, you have quite an imagination.”
