178 His Wife Would Always be Amazing (1/2)

”This is your ID,” Xue Yi Ming said as he passed a card to Yang Yun. ”Keep it with you.”

Yang Yun studied the ID and slid it into his pocket without asking too much. Then, he followed Xue Yi Ming into a room. His eyes widened when he saw the big Television on the wall. He watched it for a while and saw that there was various footage on the screen.

Xue Yi Ming saw the look on Yang Yun's face and immediately explained that they were in a security room, and what he was watching was surveillance footage. When Yang Yun understood what are those footages for, he could not help but to admire the technology they have in this world. If only they could have the same thing in Da Cheng, then, their task would be easier.

”You sit here first, I've got some work to do,” Xue Yi Ming pointed towards the sofa in the back. ”It will only take a while. When we're done, I'll take you to the hospital and have you remove the cast.”

Yang Yun nodded and silently walked towards the sofa. As they were going to the hospital later, it was better if he did not disturb Xue Yi Ming's job. Thinking about going to the hospital made Yang Yun anxious. Not because he was going to remove the cast, but because he was going to see Mingyue again.

It has been two weeks since he last saw his wife at General Lin's residence. He missed her so much. Yang Yun wished that he could spend his time to be with her. They have wasted years after separated. However, Mingyue did not remember him. Yang Yun was scared that he would frighten his wife when he showed up.

Yang Yun was too deep in his thought that he did not notice Xue Yi Ming had stood in front of him for a while.

”What is wrong with you? Are you alright?” Xue Yi Ming asked.

Yang Yun shook his head. ”I'm fine.”

”I'm done with my work. Let's go. We don't want to be late for your appointment,” Xue Yi Ming said. He then led Yang Yun out of the room.

”What were you doing in there?” Yang Yun asked as he glanced back into the room.

Xue Yi Ming understood that Yang Yun was asking about his job. ”Some surveillance camera went down since last night; I have to come down and fix them up.”

The two went into Xue Yi Ming's Cayenne and drove towards the hospital. As the traffic went smooth, it took them thirty minutes to reach their destination. Xue Yi Ming went to the counter while he let Yang Yun wait for him.

Yang Yun found a seat and sat obediently. His eyes scanned around his surrounding. There were lots of patients and their family members waiting for their turn for the doctor to call out their name. His gaze stopped when he saw a familiar silhouette stood not far away from him.

His gaze stayed with her as she conversed animatedly with a nurse. Mingyue was wearing a white coat over a pink blouse and black pants. Her long hair was tied up in a bun. It was strange to see her dressed up in something from this time. No matter what she wore, his wife would always be beautiful.

”You'll see her soon.”

”I know,” Yang Yun heard Xue Yi Ming's voice beside him, but he did not look at him. His gaze refused to leave his wife until she walked away to enter a room.
