210 Past Life (1/2)
Lin Mingyue walked out of Professor Qin's office and frowned.
Her friend, Yan Han, had suggested her see her superior, Professor Qin, to find out why she kept having those recurring dreams. After an hour session of consultation, Professor Qin indicated that they should have a few other therapy sessions before they find out why Mingyue was having those dreams. Then only will, Professor Qin suggested the best way to treat her.
During the consultation, Mingyue had mentioned the recurring dreams where she saw herself falling into the dark water and suffocated. However, she did not say a word about the recent dreams she been having.
Her headache would come frequently. The images of people she did not know, or scenes that she swore had happened before would come to her mind.
At first, Mingyue thought nothing of those images. But recently, the images would appear too frequent. In the past, Mingyue would often see those images while she was asleep. However, these days, those images would appear when she was awake.
It was worrying.
As a surgeon who was responsible for saving someone's life, she was worried that her condition might harm someone.
What if the headache and images appeared while she was in surgery? Wouldn't that be dangerous? She might accidentally kill someone, someday.
Lin Mingyue knew that she had to stop those images from appearing, or else, she might have to quit her job.
Perhaps it would be best if she takes a break to clear her mind?
”Doctor Lin, are you alright?”
Mingyue lifted her head and stared at Nurse Tang, who was looking at her with concern. Slowly, the corner of her lips tilted up. ”I'm alright. What's up?”
Nurse Tang handed her a file. ”Mrs. Jing will be having an operation tomorrow morning. Didn't you say you were going to see her?”
Mingyue snapped out of her thought as she recalled her appointment. She took the file from Nurse Tang and studied the data. Then, she went to look for her patient to discuss a few things before her surgery the next day.
Once her shift was over, Mingyue found that Yang Yun was waiting for her downstairs. Her steps froze as she zoned out as she continued to watch him for a while longer.
Yang Yun tilted his head up as he felt her stare. Their gaze met, and his lips curved into a smile. Yang Yun straightened up his body and walked towards his wife. ”You're going home?”
Mingyue snapped out of her trance and nodded. ”Were you waiting for me? How long have you been here?”
”I didn't wait for too long. I met your friend at the entrance, and she said you should come out anytime soon,” Yang Yun said and frowned. ”I heard that you were unwell for a few days ago. Are you alright?”
”I'm fine. I was probably stressed due to work.” Mingyue pushed a few strands of hair behind her ear and smiled to assure him. ”Don't worry too much.”
