Bone Fragment of the Demon Saint: Special ingredient

Jiang Ming was now super sensitive to the words ‘Demon Saint’ as he only had 6 months of gaming time to find the heart of the Demon Saint. Plus, there were no hints given for this mission which meant that he was on his own. Therefore, when he saw the post that was selling the bone fragment, he became delighted, as though there was a naked woman sitting on top of him now.

He quickly clicked open the post and saw the name of the player who was selling the bone fragment —’Money Lover’, which no doubt showed that this man loves money.

However, he had to get the bone fragment at any cost and also find out where this player got it from. So, he immediately left a private message for Money Lover.

At one of the canyons of another novice village, Money Lover was fighting a demon wolf with his team. There were five of them in the team that were fighting one demon wolf.

“Hey Money Lover, I heard that you got something pretty cool when you fell off the cliff yesterday.” One of the men on the team who was carrying a bow with arrows said to another man with a pretty looking face who was slightly shorter than the rest.

“Yeah, I heard that he got an ingredient known as ‘Demon Saint’s Bone Fragment’. Yo ~~ Demon Saint, sounds expensive.” Another woman on the team continued mocking Money Lover.

Money Lover rolled his eyes at the man and replied in an unpleasant tone, “Go ahead and laugh. I hope you guys will keep laughing when I sell it at an extremely high price.”

The archer said sarcastically, “If you can sell that useless thing for 10 copper coins, I’ll treat all of you to supper. If you can’t…”

“Then I’ll treat you to supper!” Money Lover obviously understood what the archer was trying to say and immediately agreed to the bet.

In fact, he was actually having a pretty bad day. Initially, he was collecting herbal medicine near the cliff, but then he missed a step and fell off the cliff. Luckily, he was caught by a tree branch and he landed on a stone platform. There was a cave behind the platform and he didn’t find anything in the cave. Then, he decided to use his investigation technique to see what it was about and managed to find a fragment that was the size of his palm. Suddenly, he died and exited the game. By the time he came back, he already lost 50% of his EXP and dropped back to level 8.

When he came back to his team and told them about the incident, all of them laughed at him the entire morning, which made him feel dejected.

“Hmph, you just wait!” Then, Money Lover muttered to himself and prayed, “Oh god, someone please contact me and buy this piece of crap from me. I don’t want much… I only want 10 copper coins…”

As he anxiously waited, Money Lover noticed that his post was being pushed down by the other post. Therefore, he repeatedly posted it on the forum but was warned by the editor several times for doing this and now, they were about to delete his post. Suddenly, a notification popped up on the chat channel. When Money Lover saw the notification, he became extremely happy, so much that he was about to cry.

If he couldn’t sell it by today, he would definitely be mocked for a long time and the supper tonight would cost him a bomb. How could he stay calm when he saw a notification popping up on his chat channel?!

He quickly opened the chat box and saw that there was a player called ‘Misty River’ that sent him a message.

“Hi, may I know at what price you’re selling the ‘Demon Saint’s Bone Fragment’?”

Money Lover initially was about to reply : 10 copper coins. However, when he thought of it as an item that he got after losing 50% of his EXP, it shouldn’t be sold at such a low price. Since the other player purposely contacted him for it, it must mean that the player really wanted it. So, this was a good chance to make money. However, there was something that seemed a little odd. Why is this player’s name so familiar?

“You there?” The other party texted him again and Money Lover immediately replied, “Yes. As for the price, how much do you think it’s worth?”

When Jiang Ming saw Money Lover’s reply, he was delighted.

Although his heart was already racing as he found the bone fragment and was a little closer to finding out where he could find the rest of the fragments, he decided to first calm down. If he were to negotiate with the seller in this condition, the seller would realise that the item was extremely important to Jiang Ming and would definitely sell it at an extremely high price.

“Actually, I don’t really need this item,” Jiang Ming replied.

“What? Dude, stop bullshitting.” Money Lover started to get a little anxious.
