The longer she sat, the more awkward she felt, as she watched the noble girl across from her smoothly consume pastries after pastries while sipping tea. Their arrival at the pastry shop had long past and now they were at the stage of enjoying themselves in small talk while eating sweets, well at least one of them was enjoying themselves. Cielo, on the other hand, didn't feel as nonchalant, normally she was rather talkative and outgoing, but currently, she couldn't help but feel like a timid kitty. The feeling didn't sit well with her, but she still felt as if she was still dazed at all the events that had transpired in front of her.

Things that were different or rather strange to one's perspective would normally take a bit to get used to, no one is immune and adaptative to everything. So that could explain the feelings she was facing, though that couldn't explain why she felt so repulsive being near the girl. It was as if an innate force within her was telling her to not be close to Aileene.

And normally her instincts were right, but she still couldn't see what was so bad about the carefree girl in front of her. Even if they hadn't talked much, she couldn't assume the worst of someone just because they weren't friends yet.

”Cielo? Cieeelo!”

Waking up from her deep thought provoking state, Cielo watched Aileene wave a hand in front of her face, looking a bit impatient since she probably had to call her name quite a few times already. Smiling apologetically, she sheepishly asked the other to repeat their questions.

”I just wanted to say, I don't think we've ever gotten the chance to chat or seriously talk or hang out or be anywhere close together, so I would like to start over and become your friend!” Aileene said quickly all in one breath, as if it was any more audible Cielo would reject her flat. Which she couldn't because she couldn't exactly make out any word the blonde haired girl had said. Maybe beside a few keys words like friend, chance and hang, but that wasn't exactly helpful. Since no matter how she shifted the words it wouldn't make sense.

'Friend hang chance?'

'Chance friend hang.'

'Hang chance-'

It was a hopeless cause, so Cielo could only stare on at Aileene in confusion, trying her best to work the situation out, but coming up empty-handed each and every time.

Aileene seemed to have noticed her intense staring and sighed before repeating her statement, now in a calmer and slower fashion, ”Cielo, let's be friends.”
