Chapter 54 - Secret Boy and ”Sunrise”
”Sir, sir, are you still there? Can you contact Cinderella for us? The little boy was weak from a prolonged hunger strike and needed someone to take care of him. I hope you can help us get to Cinderella as soon as possible. ”
”Leave a contact number for me. I'll help you pass it on to her as soon as possible.” Huang Jue took out a pen and a paper from the drawer, wrote down the caller's number, and hung up.
He sat on the reclining chair and stared at the contact details he had just recorded for a few seconds. Then he took out his cell phone and dialed Cinderella's number.
”Hey, Big Brother Huang?” Huang Jue was the first to hear Bai Zhongyi's voice from her phone. Bai Zhongyi seemed to be taking off her gloves as she answered the call.
”Cinderella, come to the office. I have something to tell you. ”Right away.”
Bai Zhongyi noticed that Huang Jue's tone was a little different from usual and immediately became serious. ”I'll be there immediately.”
After Bai Zhongyi changed out of her work clothes, she hastily ran back to the office. She discovered that Huang Jue was sitting alone on a chair, smoking a cigarette in a bad mood.
”You're here?” Huang Jue heard the door open and looked up at her.

”I just got a call. It's from America.”
Bai Zhongyi asked nervously, ”Is it my school? Did I fail in that subject? Or is it a thesis problem? Or come here for an internship — is there a problem? ” Bai Zhongyi randomly guessed as she saw that something was amiss with Huang Xian.
”Neither. It's your foster father, Meng Zhengqing's landlord. ”
”The landlord of the foster father? Our house has no landlord. Father bought it all a long time ago. ” Bai Zhongyi replied.
”You don't seem to know about this.” Huang Jue paused for a moment as if he didn't know what to say. ”He rented another house because the lease term was up. When the landlord went to check in, he found a little boy in the house.” At this point, Huang Jue paid attention to Cinderella's expression.
Seeing that Cinderella's expression was normal, he continued, ”That boy almost died from a prolonged loss of food and was found by them, so he was sent to the hospital for rescue. She had just called to say that the child was most likely your adoptive father's child. This child is currently in a very bad state and needs someone to take care of him. ”
”Are they out of danger?” Bai Zhongyi said anxiously when she heard this.

Huang Jue leaned his back against the chair and said uncomfortably, ”So it's like that?” Is this child yours and Meng Zhengqing's? ”
”Six years ago, my foster father took an egg from me.” Bai Zhongyi frowned and said, ”If I'm not wrong, the egg that this child fertilized is mine. As for whose sperm it is, I can't be sure. But it's very likely to be an adoptive father. ”
