8 Birth Of The Little Lotus - 2.2 (1/2)
She was drifting in an endless sea of darkness with the distinct knowledge that she had already died. She knew that there wasn't anymore chance for her but she was glad she still got so see her master's face during her last moments.
Dying was a curious thing.
At first she felt the tingling sensation of becoming numb and the little by little, the feeling of cold encompassing her entire being until finally she breathe her last.
Funny thing was, even though she knew she was dead, she could still faintly feel her body. Somehow it made her feel a little bit secure. Even the fact that she has lost her life did not stop her from feeling at peace. She was perfectly fine with her being in an abyss. Contrary to how others would have found it, she found the quiet nothingness serene and comforting.
She didn't know how long she had drifted along when all of a sudden, a bright white light shone from the distance and slowly closed in on her before finally, she was enveloped in it and the feeling it gave her was so warm and comforting that she couldn't help but cling to it as much as she can.
The bright light shone brighter and brighter until she felt blinded that she felt that she had to close her eyes.
As sudden as it came, it was just gone.
The feeling of warmth and security was suddenly replaced with a sudden sting on her backside making her cry out.
She struggled to make sense of what was happening but no matter what she tried to do, her body didn't seem to follow her orders. She felt something touching her skin and the feeling of being wrapped that it made her feel endlessly frustrated and no matter how much she tried to voice out her thoughts, all she could hear was a baby's crying.
She felt her sense of balance change in she couldn't help but gasp in shock before she felt something cold against her cheek while the rest of her body was enveloped in comforting warmth making her quiet while she scrunch up her face in a frown of confusion.
She faintly heard the deep voice of a man whispering gently and she tried to focus on his voice. The voice was totally unfamiliar to her but even she couldn't help but detect the underlying tone of affection in it.
Concentrating on her opening her eyes, she focused on it and struggled to lift her heavy lids. She felt her body tilt slightly but somehow, she trusted the man whoheld her.
Finally gaining enough strength and control, she managed to open her eyes and what met her was the sight of a beautiful lady, looking bloody and haggard but with a radiant and loving smile on her face despite looking extremely exhausted.
The man who held her leaned closer and the woman breathe out gently and softly whispered as she lifted her gaze to meet the man's.
”Let us name her Ai LieNa, our love and little lotus flower.” she weaky said with a voice and amber eyes filled with so much love in her tone before her eyes fluttered close.
Her eyelashes were like a dark butterfly's wing against her smooth pale skin. Her feature's were so delicate and fairy-like that she couldn't help but want to gaze at her more but her wish was not answered when pandemonium engulfed the entire room.
The moment the woman's eyes closed, the people she vaguely saw inside the room leapt into action. While the man backed away but she could faintly feel his body trembling.
Considering the feeling and circumstances she had found herself in since she opened her eyes, she could practically determine that she has just been reborn and that the woman was her mother and the man carrying her was her father in this life. What really made her worried is that since she has been reborn, it would seem as though her mother might not survive and her father shared the same fears as her.
Softly crying, she tried looking up to see the man who held her and upon seeing her distressed, he quickly brought her closer and rocked her gently while making soothing sounds.
To her, even though she knew what he was doing, even when she tried to fight it so she can keep an eye on her new mother, the soothing rocking motion and the comforting sounds he made lulled her slowly into a deep peaceful sleep.
The next time she woke up, it was already morning and was still being held by her father but now a small male child was standing beside where he sat.
