33 The Tokyo Boars! Pt. 1 (1/2)
Kou, the Tokyo Boar's captain, scanned the new scenery past the 2nd gate. This was the destination of the final battles in this battle royale: a dreary Ghost Town.
”Hey, captain, landing in the north west was definitely a good idea huh,” Akiza, the Tokyo Boar's Status Mage and vice-captain, celebrated, ”We were able to fight against a lot of people!”
”Yeah but those were low-quality fights,” Yuumi, the Tokyo Boar's Cleric, lamented, ”Despite our captain being a Samurai Berserker, we never got to see his dual sword techniques.”

”Yeah, he only used punches this whole time huh...” Chika, the Tokyo Boar's second Samurai Berserker, agreed, ”Hopefully Hiroki comes back soon, I'm getting bored waiting around.
Hiroki, the Tokyo Boar's Assassin, had gone ahead to scout the ghost town and lure in unsuspecting players and parties. He utilized a Full Stealth Assassin build with skills such as the Thief's skill [Stealth], the Thief's skill [Shunpo], the Assassin's skill [Shadow Sneak], and the Assassin's ultimate skill [Malevolent Blade from the Shadows].
Normally, he would start matches off with [Stealth] to move around the arenas silently and choose an area to lurk in, which would normally be an area predesignated by the captain. [Stealth] had a long cooldown period of a minute and fifteen seconds, but would keep the player fully stealthed for an entire minute.
If no players showed up by then, he would use [Shadow Sneak] to sink into the shadow of a structure to lurk even more. Just like with [Stealth], [Shadow Sneak] also possessed a long cooldown of a minute and fifteen seconds, but this skill would be refreshed if the player scored a kill.
By then, his team would chase at least one enemy towards him. As soon as the main target that had been predesignated by the team got within his range, he would activate [Shunpo] and strike that target in the vitals. He had put all his stats into strength and critical strike damage, meaning that a strike in the vitals would increase his damage by 800%. However, this also left him quite vulnerable to counter strikes and counter magic.
If his team was doing their job right by applying as much pressure while chasing them, the enemies would have no time to expect his ambush. If the target is still alive at this point, Hiroki would use [Malevolent Blade from the Shadows] to strike the vitals again.
[Malevolent Blade from the Shadows] was an Assassin's ultimate ability, which would generate a shadow clone for every critical strike landed in the past 2 seconds. The Shadow Clones would then stab the target for the same damage dealt during that critical strike that generated each respective shadow clone. While that was going on, the player would be stealthed.
Normally, [Malevolent Blade from the Shadows] was used after the skill [Violent Strikes] which would buff the player's attacking speed by 1000% and guarantee a critical strike each time, but the player would take 1000% damage after Violent Strikes was over. By using [Malevolent Blade from the Shadows], the player would be able to wait until the debuff was over to continue combat.
But the way Hiroki used the ability was akin to using it as an execution ability. Even if a target could tank the first strike, they most definitely couldn't survive the follow-up [Malevolent Blade from the Shadows].
However, in this Battle Royale setting, the Tokyo Boars had used Hiroki's stealth ability as more of a scouting role. After spotting an enemy, Hiroki would expend his damage combo on their weakest member, and proceed to run away using [Malevolent Blade from the Shadows]'s stealth. He would always leave their mage alive so that they could always trace him with their trinkets.
Hiroki would lead them straight into the ambush that the Tokyo Boars had laid out to have his team finish off the now uneven fight.
This time, however, Hiroki had been away for longer than 3 minutes. The last round of the battle royale event had a time limit of 15 minutes. Hiroki could only maintain his stealth for a maximum of 3 minutes, but if he used the terrain properly, he would last longer.
Then suddenly,
