Hmm, those humans sure are interesting. Their laughs are fun to watch, they seem to be enjoying themselves.
”Your highness, the enemy are coming. What are your orders?”
”Relax Crixus, as head of my private guard you should be able to kill of these pitiful things. Unless you believe your not up to the task?”
”Legionaries, are we up to the task!”

”Understood, you highness, I will continue to lead your loyal troops into battle.”
Ah, he is so easy to get worked up. Well at least I shouldn't have to help yet. I can enjoy the show a little longer, I still can't decide if the humans are more interesting than the spiders though. On the human side they all have different personalities and it show in how they hunt. The spiders on the other hand seem to be fairly similar, I wonder if it's because they only recently started to develop intelligence like us ants?
Either way I will have to see if I can introduce some elements of traps into out future battle plans, they seem like such fun. Oh look that dangerous one they call Hunter is charging into the enemies front line, his abilities are terrifying. Even my strongest legionaries are most likely unable to even scratch him. I should be able to wound him but at what cost I wonder. Erik didn't mention his brother was such a combat maniac, then again we don't exactly share everything. I'm just happy he sent me those digital books to read, not only did it speed up the development of my brain but I was able to implement some of the things I learned into my colony. The personal legion is just the tip of the ice bridge as the humans say.
He he, look at the rats try to storm my troops. They haven't even been able to cause serious damage to their exoskeleton, and their flesh is so fragile. My troops don't even have to try to shred them to pieces before poof they are everywhere. Sigh, I like to enjoy the show but I'm starting to get bored. Maybe I should join the fun soon, the only thing is my soldiers get all uppity about me fighting. I'm the strongest so I should get to have some fun as well. I hope a strong enemy comes soon to free my from this boredom.
Oh, well let's watch the rats get torn to shreds. One leg, two legs, twelve legs, eight bodies, three separate heads, two screaming rats, and a tail over near me. Te he he.
”Crixus, switch from border formation to spinning turtle. This will be good practice.”
”Yes your highness. Spinning turtle, outside left. Inside right.”
There we go, the border formation is good for defense but spinning turtle is so much more fun to watch. My legionaries go from a double layer square to a circle. The layers also start moving in different directions, it kinda looks like two saw blades. Yup look at all that carnage, we are killing them much faster this way. The only thing is this formation uses up more of their stamina and if I don't keep track of it they will work themselves to death. Sigh, I need more intellectual ants to discuss things with. Crixus just barely qualifies, hopefully he can evolve a little more and maybe become more independent. Ah the problems of a queen.
I wonder what it's like being camille, leading all those spiders. Is it hard because they aren't blindly loyal like my children, or is it easier because she doesn't have to do all the thinking alone. I hope we can work together and discuss some things leader to leader. Well there is always Erik but I don't think he would understand.
Hmm, he seems to be enjoying himself fighting with his comrades. Maybe I should look for other advanced queens, the birthing queens in my colony are not able to hold a good conversation with me. I wonder if other advance queens would see me as a threat to her domain like in the old days. Hopefully they have developed some intelligence like me. A problem for another time.
Oh look a large group heading this way, I want to fight.
”Crixus, arrow formation. Follow me.”
”Your highness wait. Dammit, CHARGE FOLLOW HER HIGHNESS.”

Huh, Ruby seems to want to join the fun. Her little soldiers don't seem so happy though. Wow, she's ripping through those rats like a hot knife through butter. Oh, that rat seems pretty strong and now he is torn in two, nevermind.
Erik seems to be getting into it as well. I wonder if this is ok? We were supposed to be working together right, I mean I am loving the senseless violence but I wonder if I could work together with the ants? Well one way to find out right. Even chose the funnest area with the most rats. Might as well join their party. Here's hoping this goes well.
(Ruby POV)
AH, so much fun. These rats are as weak as I though, I'm able to tear through them like soft dirt. Oh, Erik's little brother is heading this way. Yup he seems to want to join the fun, well that's fine. Let's see if we can work together, it should be fun either way.
”Crixus why don't you go fight alongside the human. Show me if my strongest warrior can hold his own.”
”For your honor!”
