This banquet is still quite fun

I was holding a glass of red wine as I watched her speak to Lu Chen from a distance, unable to hear what they were saying. Lu Chen was always cold and indifferent in front of others, while Zhou ZiJie was on the verge of tears. Her constant chopping on the ground showed that she was very angry.

All of this seemed to tell me that Zhou Zijie was furious.

I didn't know how much longer they would have to talk, but I looked around in boredom.

Lu Chen's so-called academia probably referred to physics, but unfortunately, physics was the most detestable thing in my student years.

There were a few display boards in the hall, and I couldn't understand anything except pictures. In fact, I couldn't understand pictures either.

”Interested?” Lu Chen came over and put his arm around my waist. He should have finished talking to Zhou Zijie already.

Lu Chen had never brought any of his female companions to a banquet, either by himself or with a male assistant.

Lu Chen lowered his head slightly and leaned close to me. ”What did they say?”

He didn't seem to hear her, but was seriously looking at the display board in front of him.

I tiptoed close to his ear and deliberately lowered my voice. ”Lu Chen, you seem to be very close to me today. I don't like it.”

He whispered in my ear, ”If you don't want to go to a party like this again, be good today.”

When he first arrived, I felt a lot of eyes on us. I don't know if they were all looking at me like this and guessing that I was having an affair with Lu Chen, but in order to tell them that I was right, I gently bit the earlobe right in front of Lu Chen's eyes.

A gasp sounded out from behind me, and I felt that Lu Chen's body was somehow stiff. I whispered coquettishly into his ear, ”Is this considered very obedient?”

”Very well, it's just that you forgot one thing.” Lu Chen's breathing became hurried.

I forgot something, forgot something? He was the one who hinted at acting in front of others. Wait.

I suppressed the laughter in my heart. ”Lu Chen, do you really think you can't afford to provoke me like this?”

He let go of my waist and said gloomily, ”I'm going out for a moment.”

As soon as he left, I couldn't help but laugh. I wanted to laugh in a place where there was no one else around for a while.

”Mu Yan, you're really despicable.” Zhou Zijie's voice came from behind him.

I had to turn around and pretend that nothing had happened. ”Miss Zhou, perhaps it's just a misunderstanding.”

The crowd quickly surrounded him.

She sneered, as if she had heard the biggest joke in the world, ”What misunderstanding? Do you really want to climb onto the bed of a Lu Family man? At first, he had used some sort of vulgar method to seduce Lu Yulin, but now, he's pasted it onto his uncle. What a cheap slut. ”

The upper-class rich ladies aren't as bad as a shrew. She scolds me harshly, so I turn around to leave.

Unexpectedly, she was still unsatisfied. She grabbed my hand and pulled me back. Then, she slapped my face with her palm.

Unable to bear it any longer, I threw the glass of red wine in her face. I've never been afraid of anyone.

I raised my hand to return her slap. Seeing Lu Chen step out from behind the pillar, I opened my mouth to call for him to stop.

He seemed to have been there for a long time. He watched as Zhou Zijie hit me. To let Zhou Zijie humiliate me.
