”Is she really gone?”
Qin Haodong reached out to feel the switch on the wall. He wanted to see clearly what was going on in the room. At the same time, his heart lost a beat because he felt someone was behind him.
The guy showed up behind him without any sound. Qin Haodong was sure that the guy was up to no good. And he could tell the one was quite powerful.
Thinking of that, Qin Haodong turned back fast and smashed to his back with his both palms empowered.
He had worn out himself to that strike, but the man behind was so powerful that all his power had been countered easily.
What was even odder was that instead of striking back, the man kept Qin Haodong's both palms on his chest.
”Wow? That feels nice and bouncy.”
That was what Qin Haodong had felt first. His both had pressed on the two high ”mountains”, and he couldn't help squeezing them.
”Little man, you are so bad. You're taking advantage of me!”
A seductive voice came from the darkness. Till then Qin Haodong realized that the one showing up behind him was Hu Xiaoxian.
Qin Haodong said with dissatisfaction, ”What are you doing? Why didn't you turn on the light and being so sneaky? I could've been scared to death.”
Hu Xiaoxian said, ”Who was being sneaky? Me or you? Why did you sneak into my room?”
Qin Haodong said awkwardly, ”This is my home. Can I just come to check?”
”Fine! This is your home, but the thing you're pressing on is mine. Can you take it away? Or at least go up or down?”
Qin Haodong then realized that his hands were still on Hu Xiaoxian's chest. He took them back immediately.
He turned on the light and said, ”It's so late, why aren't you sleeping?”
”How could I sleep without you coming back?” Hu Xiaoxian held Qin Haodong's arms and said, ”I was worried that you would be hungry when you're back. So I've cooked lots of dishes. Why don't you go have a taste?”
Qin Haodong asked, ”Have you had dinner yet?”
”Of course not, I was waiting for you.”
”Well... actually you don't have to.”
Qin Haodong said and he was slightly touched. He had spent 500 years in the Cultivation World, and this was the first time he had someone waiting for him at home.
”I cooked all these dishes for you. How could I not wait?”
Hu Xiaoxian said as she pulled Qin Haodong to the kitchen. Then she brought out four dishes to the table.
”Have a try.”
Hu Xiaoxian looked at Qin Haodong and said. Her expression was a combination of seduction, sexiness, and a slight trace of innocence.
Qin Haodong picked up a chunk of braised pork rib and put it in his mouth. He felt the flavor had occupied his tongue immediately.
”It's delicious, very tasty!” Qin Haodong said after he tasted the chunk, ”You should have some, too.”
Hu Xiaoxian moved a chair and sat next to Qin Haodong. She was eating and helping Qin Haodong to pick up the food.
Qin Haodong felt it odd but somehow he was enjoying all this.
He asked, ”You've stayed at home for a whole day. Aren't you bored?”
”Not at all,” Hu Xiaoxian said, ”I am cultivating and cooking in here. The time went really fast. In the evening I feel so excited thinking about that I'll see you soon.”
When she said that, she held Qin Haodong's arm and said with a happy face, ”I don't know if you have loved someone with your heart and soul. That feels so good.”
Qin Haodong was moved, but he insisted and said, ”This is inappropriate.”
Hu Xiaoxian said, ”I feel so good. I'm all yours no matter what!”
”Well…”
Qin Haodong had on other options. He went back to his room after dinner.
The next day, Qin Haodong dropped off the little fellow at the kindergarten and drove his Porsche 911 to where Wang Rubing lived. He would drop Wang Rubing to his company to sign in today, and send the car to her as a gift.
He parked the car in the parking lot and went upstairs to see Wang Rubing.
He opened the door and saw Wang Rubing mirroring herself in a suit. When she saw Qin Haodong, she said, ”Dong, how do I look? Is it proper if I wear this to sign in?”
”Not bad!” Qin Haodong said, ”You look mature, capable, sophisticated, and understanding. The single guy in the company would have sleeping issues at night after they see you sign in.”
”Stop it. Let's go!”
The two said as they stepped out of the door. Wang Rubing held Qin Haodong's arm as usual. As soon as they went downstairs, they saw a handsome young man in his twenties, dressed in a neat suit, with a large bouquet of roses waiting at the elevator.
”Rubing, good morning. The flower is for you!” The young man ran and sent the flower to Wang Rubing. Suddenly he saw Qin Haodong next to her. His expression changed and asked, ”Rubing, who the heck is he?”
Qin Haodong smiled. It looked like his sister was quite a catch, she always had lots of pursuers.
”Zhang Hao, I've made it clear that this won't work. Please stop harassing me.”
Wang Rubing said as she pulled Qin Haodong and went outside.
