Shennong, an ancient sage, had a lofty position in the hearts of the Chinese people. Taoists respected him as a sacred emperor. The legend of Shennong tasting herbs was well known among the Huaxia's people. It was he who initiated the traditional Chinese medicine culture which had been passed down through generations.

Qin Haodong had investigated Shennongjia, where there were 1618 square kilometers of forest area. Much of the place had not been explored by human beings, maintaining the original ecological environment. Because of this, there were many rumors about Shennongjia that unknown things such as savages existed in Shennongjia.

In recent years, many scientific expeditions and folk tours had come to Shennongjia to conquer this unknown area. As a result, many people had lost their tracks after entering Shennongjia. Although the government had carried out many rescue operations, still nothing, even a body, was found.

However, with economic development, Shennongjia had developed a large number of tourism resources, and tourists came here in an endless stream.

According to the map drawn by Dilong, they would first cross the tourist area, and then go deep into Shennongjia. Because of this, Qin Haodong and the little fellow could follow the tourists to Shennongjia slowly. They could enjoy the view on the way.

A day later, they had crossed the periphery of Shennongjia to the edge of the tourist area, where there were fewer tourists than before.

Towards noon, the little fellow cried, ”Papa, I'm hungry!”

”Let's eat then.”

Qin Haodong was just about to take food out of the storage ring when he saw a farmhouse restaurant with a sign not far ahead. They would soon go deep into Shennongjia depopulated land, and it was impossible to meet a restaurant again. So Qin Haodong changed his mind and took the little fellow to the restaurant.

The hotel was entirely of wooden structure and looked a little shabby. There was a sign hanging at the door, which wrote in a crooked way, ”Game Restaurant”.

Immediately after Qin Haodong entered, a fat middle-aged boss greeted him and asked enthusiastically, ”What do you want to eat, young man?”

”Tang Tang, what would you like to eat?”

Qin Haodong asked the little fellow.

”I want noodles,” cried the little fellow.

”Well, we'll have two bowls of noodles.”

Qin Haodong opened the simple menu on the table again. There were not many kinds of dishes and there were no green vegetables. The price of the dishes wasn't too high, but because he didn't want to waste, he ordered only a flavor pheasant and a sauced beef.

Because of the remote location and the scarcity of tourists, there were only two of them eating there. Soon two bowls of shredded meat noodles, a pheasant and a plate of sauced beef were served.

The noodles tasted OK. He took a chicken wing and two pieces of beef in the little fellow's bowl, and then ate them himself.

After eating for a while, the little fellow reached out two tender fingers and picked out a hair from the bowl. ”Papa, there's hair in the noodles!”

Located in the deep mountains and old forests, Qin Haodong could not care too much about the hygienic conditions here. He raised his hand and beckoned to the fat boss, ”Big brother, there is a hair in this bowl of noodles, please change it for another bowl.”

After hearing this, the owner's greasy face sank down immediately. He said in a cold voice, ”Young man, our restaurant is clean. How can there be hair in the noodles? Are you trying to blackmail us?”

Qin Haodong glanced at the restaurant owner, thinking that this fellow was not a pure countryman. He even knew the fashionable thing of blackmail.

He said, ”Firstly, I didn't let you compensate me. Secondly, I didn't ask for a waiver of the bill. How could it be blackmail? Can't I ask for a new one when there is a hair in your noodles?”

The restaurant shook his head and said, ”No, this hair is not from our restaurant at all. It must have been brought by you.”

Qin Haodong didn't bother to argue with him, so he said, ”Well, I'll buy another bowl, all right?”

The man said, ”You can buy another bowl, but you have to pay for the meal first.”

Qin Haodong really didn't want to talk to the fat restaurant owner. He said, ”Well, how much is it? Come on. We're in a hurry.”
