Chapter 354 - The Spiritual Sense Lock (1/2)
Chapter 354 The Spiritual Sense LockWatching Qin Haodong’s smiling face reappear, Davis snarled, “Damn! What the hell are you doing? Fly up!”
At this point, however, the pilot couldn’t think of anything else. He jumped out of the pilot’s seat and ran for his life before the helicopter could stop steadily.
“Damn it, you bastard, I’ll kill you sooner or later!”
Davis yelled at the back of the pilot. Due to the high technical requirements of the pilot, the pilot was hired from the outside at great expense, and was not a core member of this base, so his loyalty was not high.
“Dear Mr. Davis, I didn’t expect to see you again so soon!”
Qin Haodong’s handsome face reappeared in front of Davis with a playful smile.
“Somebody, somebody!”
Davis roared around a few times, but the entire base was so busy that no one heard him, or perhaps someone heard him but ignored him.
When no one paid him any attention, Davis licked his dry lips and said, “Qin Haodong, instead of getting each other into trouble now, we should try to get out of here together. Or we’ll die here in a minute.”
Qin Haodong replied, “Mr. Davis, you’re overthinking it. I’m the only one who can get you in trouble, and you’re the only one who’s been burned. I am a god here. I am in control.”
He waved his hand as he spoke. The flames around him suddenly weakened, and the fire that had been moving toward them disappeared.
As the master of the Flame Formation of Five Elements, he did have divine power here.
Davis was dumbfounded and felt a jolt in his heart. He wondered what kind of presence he was provoking.
“Mr. Qin, listen to me. We don’t have to fight it out. Reconciliation is the best way. If you let me go today, I promise I won’t bother you again!”
Qin Haodong smiled and said, “You kidnapped my daughter, and just tried to burn us to death. Do you think there’s any chance of reconciliation between us? And I don’t believe you. I think dead men are the only reliable.”
Although there was a big smile on the handsome face in front of him, Davis felt a piercing sense of murder. “I’ll give you a lot of money. I’ve made more money at Wilson Company over the years than you can imagine. I can give it all to you as long as you let me go…”
The smile was gone from Qin Haodong’s face. Not wanting to talk to Davis anymore, he went straight to use the Mind-manipulating. “Tell me, what organization do you belong to? What’s your name? What is your purpose?”
“My… my organization is called…”
There was a flash of confusion on Davis’ face before his expression became anguished. Just as he was about to name the organization, he suddenly fell to the ground with blood oozing from his eyes, nose and mouth and a terrible look on his face.
Qin Haodong, meanwhile, felt a huge mental surge. He frowned.
Hu Xiaoxian asked, “What’s going on? Did he kill himself by taking poison?”
Qin Haodong crouched down to feel Davis’ pulse, shook his head, and said, “It isn’t suicide. Someone else killed him.”
“Someone else?” Hu Xiaoxian immediately looked around warily.
“Don’t look around. The killer isn’t here,” Qin Haodong said and then explained. “It’s a very unique skill called the Spiritual Sense Lock. To use common words, someone has locked Davis’ mind with spiritual sense. As soon as Davis touched something, he was instantly killed.”
“Is there such a skill?” After hearing Qin Haodong’s words, Hu Xiaoxian, an expert in mental force, immediately asked in surprise, “How much of mental force does it take to do this?”
Qin Haodong replied, “To perform the Spiritual Sense Lock, one must own extremely great mental force. Measured by the cultivation of warrior, it requires warriors to have supreme power and above. That means there’s a master of it in that organization.”
Hu Xiaoxian grimly muttered, “What kind of organization is this? Why haven’t we heard it before? It seems we must report this to the Xuanyuan Pavilion.”
Qin Haodong also realized the power of the cult organization. At least he was no match for the man who could launch the Spiritual Sense Lock.
Hu Xiaoxian urged, “Let’s get out of here. Watch out for his body exploding!”
“There is no genetic bomb inside him, only a Spiritual Sense Lock. It’s probably because of his high rank in the organization,” Qin Haodong said as he stood up.
But suddenly his face darkened as he saw what appeared to be the tip of a tattoo on Davis’ wrist.
He crouched down again, lifted his hand and ripped off Davis’ sleeve. Davis did have a clear tattoo on his wrist.
It was normal for westerners to have tattoos on their bodies, but there was something special about this one— it was a person kneeling on the ground in a pose of worship. Although the face of the man was not clear, Qin Haodong could feel his reverent adoration, as if he was worshiping a supreme man.
“Have you ever seen such a tattoo?”
Qin Haodong asked Hu Xiaoxian.
Hu Xiaoxian shook her head and replied, “No. Does it have any special meaning?”
“I don’t know yet,” Qin Haodong uttered, “but I feel like it’s a special mark of that organization. If you want to investigate the organization in the future, it’s a good place to start.”
He then ripped all of Davis’ clothes off, leaving only a pair of shorts, but found nothing else suspicious.
Hu Xiaoxian pulled out her phone, snapped the tattoo on Davis’ wrist, and said, “We should go, or the police will be here later and it’s going to be a hassle.”
