Chapter 655 - The Truth of the Ancient Times (1/2)

This white tiger was much bigger than the ordinary ones. It was so white that they even thought that it was transparent. It was six or seven meters long and had a ferocious look.

“Why is there a tiger here?”

Qin Haodong pulled Li Jiumei and pushed her behind him without any second thoughts.

“Ow… Ow… Ow…”

The big white tiger let out a roar and then it leapt forward and rushed at them with the speed of lightning. It was not only big, but also extremely fast.

“Kill you!”

Qin Haodong shouted and stabbed the white tiger with his Xuan Yuan Sword.

“Ding…”

They heard the sound of gold and iron clanging when the Xuan Yuan Sword touched the head of the tiger. But the tiger stood there unharmed, while Qin Haodong’s hands went numb with the impact of the force.

He was shocked. Could it be that this white tiger had already become immortal? Why was its body even harder than the iron?

But suddenly the tiger pounced on Li Jiumei, who was standing next to him.

It was so fast that Li Jiumei could not even dodge with her low cultivation. Qin Haodong was shocked and tried to stab the tiger on its side with his Xuan Yuan Sword.

“Ding…”

The Xuan Yuan Sword was sent flying once again, while the white tiger pounced on Li Jiumei without any mercy. Its bloody mouth was right above her face.

“Bastard, how dare you!”

Qin Haodong glared at it with great anger and shouted. He directly ignored the Xuan Yuan Sword and kicked at the white tiger’s head using his Thief’s Legs move.

He tried his best to save Li Jiumei, but to his surprise, he completely missed and the tiger suddenly disappeared into thin air.

Qin Haodong stopped and looked back. But the tiger was indeed gone and there was only a knife floating in front of Li Jiumei.

It was about five feet in length and its handle was about one foot long. It was covered with spiral patterns, which looked like tiger tails. The hand-guard looked just like a tiger’s paw.

The blade, which was about four feet long, looked transparent and it was in the shape of a thorn.

“What’s this?”

Although he did not know why a tiger suddenly turned into a knife, Qin Haodong could feel the huge pressure given off by it, which was no less than that of the Xuan Yuan Sword.

But suddenly Li Jiumei recognized it and exclaimed, “It’s the Tiger Soul Knife! The Knife of Chiyou!”

Qin Haodong also realized what had happened. No wonder the white tiger was as hard as the iron. It was the personification of the amber knife.

It was said that the Tiger Soul Knife was the weapon belonging to Chiyou when he was fighting against the Yellow Emperor. With the help of the Fairy of the Nine Heavens, the Yellow Emperor defeated Chiyou. So he fed the extraterrestrial meteorite to the tiger, which was his mount and let them merge together into a divine weapon, which was called the Tiger Soul Knife.

Qin Haodong did not expect that he could see this magic weapon. He tried to grab it, but the knife slid to the side as if it was a living thing and Qin missed it.

He suddenly realized something and said to Li Jiumei, “This is the holy object belonging to your tribe. Try and see if you can catch it.”

Li Jiumei nodded and reached out slowly for the Tiger Soul Knife. This time the knife did not move. It stayed there as if it was waiting for its master.

When she touched the hilt of the knife, Li Jiumei immediately felt the great power contained in it. It had a murderous vibe like a tiger which was about to eat people alive.

Qin Haodong said, “I got it. Chiyou left the Tiger Soul Knife here to guard the temple and it stopped attacking us the moment it discovered that you’re the descendant of the Jiuli tribe. If it were an outsider, he would definitely have been killed.”

“Thank you, Master Chiyou!”

Li Jiumei knelt down again and kowtowed to the statue.

Qin Haodong said, “Try and see if you can become the master of the Tiger Soul Knife.”

Then he explained how to make the weapon recognize her as the master. Li Jiumei followed his order, pierced her index finger and dripped a drop of blood on the knife.

The drop of blood soon disappeared as if it was being absorbed by a sponge. Then the blade of the Tiger Soul Knife quivered and suddenly disappeared into Li Jiumei’s body.

They were both delighted to have obtained the Tiger Soul Knife, which was a great ancient weapon. It had not been a waste of time to come here, after all.

But suddenly a huge figure appeared in front of the Divine Hall. It looked exactly the same as the statue and it must be the ancient god of war himself.

Although it was just a remnant of Chiyou, Qin Haodong could still feel his great power and his domineering momentum. Chiyou must have been invincible when he was still alive.
