”Hey, Fran. Congratulations on winning the 3rd prize”
”Mm.”
”Come on. Wasn't that a compliment, apparently?
The moment I entered the Guildmaster's office, Diaz said congratulations in a teasing tone. This guy, you know what I'm saying.
”... because Amanda beat me”
”Normally, it's not weird to be a Tengu when Rank C Adventurer comes third, is it?
Diaz shrugging his shoulders, but there's a nigga laugh on his face. I guess you know Fran won't be Tengu or anything.
If you think normally, it would be a miracle if a Rank C Adventurer took down a Rank A Adventurer and placed third. Though you'll be doing great.
”Even the Beast King can't beat you”
”You don't have to be out of that standard... I have no hands, no legs.”
”I'll win one day”
”Seriously, I'm scared because I am.”
I mean Fran, though. Well, before we beat Rank S, we need to be able to beat Amanda and Falund.
”Actually, with the results of this one, I was wondering if I could raise you to Rank B... I couldn't”
”I just went up to C, do you want to go up now?
”Is it too soon for anything?
”No, no, you're beating a Rank A Adventurer with pure combat power, aren't you? At least with combat power alone, you're way off the Rank C level, aren't you?
'Well, yes... Why didn't you do it?
As Diaz says, if you have no problems with combat power, it would mean there are other missing parts.
”The other branch chiefs told me a lot.”
”The other branch manager?
”Oh, we talked about it in a far-sighted demon prop.”
Apparently the first problem was Fran's age.
”I have trouble with a lot of guys worrying about not having a precedent or anything. If you even look at the records of branches in other countries, you're supposed to find some precedents! Well, whatever you look for, they'll just say the record's too old or something! I'll drag those guys down one day.”
”Well, good luck with that at best”
It's like not involving us.
”The rest is a martial arts tournament, which doesn't mean you've measured your strength as an adventurer.”
”I see.”
You don't know if you're good as an adventurer, even if you're strong in battle at a ruled militant tournament? Well, I'm certainly not even convinced about that.
An element other than mere combat power is important to an adventurer's strength. If you blah blah blah blah, even if you are somewhat less combative, you can see through all the traps and disarm them, have perfect knowledge of warcraft and magic, and are always calm and deposited and flexible in your thoughts, then that would definitely be a good adventurer.
That said, I can beat Rank A, so it sounds good to give me about Rank B. Fighting is the most important thing.
”And Fran also had the opinion that he was ranking too high on an exceptional basis. If he treated one too favourably, he would hear dissatisfaction from other adventurers.”
Hmm, I don't know that either. Except when Fran rises to Rank C, it's all special promotions.
”And then I wonder if Fran has less experience as a leader in combat.”
”What do you mean?
”If you are a Rank B Adventurer, you may also lead other adventurers in battle when things happen. Stampede, Disaster, Upper Warcraft Attack. In a variety of situations, my role as commander is often required.”
”Fran can't do that.”
”Mm-hmm. Trouble.”
”Right. I agree with that.”
Characteristically, I would never be able to.
”Finally, I was also told that Fran's attitude does not correspond to Rank B. Rank B Adventurers sometimes take requests from nobles”
”Really?
”Yeah, it basically depends on the adventurer whether you take the request or not, but sometimes you can't turn down a request from a leading man of the land or something from a royal family. At that time, there's no risk of failure, so I'm going to introduce you to a strong man.”
Does that mean Rank B Adventurer? Rank A Adventurers are small in number and have the highest power. Oh, come on. You can't even pull me out on a request.
will send rank b adventurers. What if such an adventurer has a bad attitude? It could also anger the aristocracy.
”If you see what's going on at the awards ceremony, you don't seem to have a problem with that.”
