239 237 Mock Battle Begins (1/2)

A young phantom swordsman called Dufour approaches him in slow footsteps. There was a disgruntled look on that face.

I see such thoughts about how the strongest of adventurers called by Gumd can deal with such a little girl.

Gumd stands between them like a referee.

”I'll have you guys fight Fran at least twice.”

”Huh? You can keep it until then.”

”That's up to you.”

Dufour gently shrugs his shoulders about how he received Gumd's words.

”Plus, I'm calling the recovery guy perfect. Hey, come in.”

”Yes, sir. Because this is the only time I call you.”

It was a blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. She's a beautiful old lady dressed in plain clothes everywhere and feels like a townsman A.

But I can tell by the appraisal. Pretty strong. At least, it'll be stronger than the adventurers here.

Healing magic LV3 is particularly eye-catching. In other words, he was a highly skilled surgeon who could use Greater Heels.

”I'm Beth, a former Rank B adventurer. Now I'm married and I'm a housewife.”

”He says he's retired, but sometimes he drives me out for a favor.”

”Though I would be coloring the reward for that.”

”Instead, we're going to use it! Well, my household's a big help. Because our husband doesn't make a lot of money! Ha-ha-ha.”

Either way, she just looks like a free aunt, but she's probably the best user in the sense that she falsifies her strengths.

It's just that now I'm okay with getting some injuries. I don't think it was a mistake to see Fran's eyes smile slightly.

”Mutual thanks”

”It's Dufour.”

”Fran.”

”Now, start mock warfare!

Signal Gumd's call, set their swords against each other.

They didn't move as they were, and the two stared at each other. We're giving each other the lead. The behavior is the same, but there was a huge difference in why Fran and Dufour wouldn't move.

Fran was simply deserving of his opponent at first. As a result, he decides that he is not very strong, and understands that in Dufour, who remains insulted to himself, the battle will be won in one shot. And you don't move thinking you should give Dufour the lead first.

The opposing Dufour seems to believe in his peer appraisal entirely, insulting Fran because of his haha. If it was on this guy's level, you'd know that Fran is somewhat strong across the street... Because I have no idea that the Black Cat girl in front of me is stronger than herself or anything like that, I don't seem to work those senses either. It's scary to say assumptions. And he didn't attack because he gave way to Fran, who believed Dufour was also weak.

”What's up? You're not coming?

”Are you sure?

That was directed at Gumd, but I guess Dufour thought it was directed at him.

”At times like this, it's polite to set things up from the bottom up, right?

Ho ho. Say it. I almost laughed a little bit.

”Hmm?”

”No, it's nothing”

”Yes.”

”Hey, what are you whining about? Just call me. I'm not free either. I just want to get this over with and get back to work.”

”But it's polite to set it up from under, isn't it?

”Ah?”

”Then it's polite to set it up from that side. 'Cause that's the understatement.”

Oh, provoked. Well, Fran wasn't willing to provoke, he just said the facts. But Fran's words seem to have inspired Dufour's pride.

”Hey, kid. Aren't you a little shy?

”What are you talking about?
