1699 Fulfilling Fire Emperors Final Wishes (1/2)
Since he ran into Linglong Huo and Wuya Tie, Qingfeng Li naturally intended to fulfill his promise to the Fire Emperor. After all, back on Earth, he had received Fire Emperor's sword and techniques, helping him greatly through his journey.
He walked forward, saying, ”Wuya Tie, you really have no shame. What a bastard, you're actually going to give your junior sister away. I feel embarrassed just watching.”
Hearing Qingfeng Li's ridicule, Wuya Tie turned his head. When he saw that it was a young man who spoke, his expression shifted to one of anger. ”Who are you? Who are you to ridicule me? You have no right to judge my actions.”
Qingfeng Li smirked. Shaking his head, he said, ”Wuya Tie, you look handsome enough. I didn't expect you to look like a respectable person. Under that pretty skin, though, your innards are all filthy, rotten and disgusting.”
Opening his mouth, Qingfeng Li released his golden energy. It shot forth at astonishing speeds, turning into a ray of light and piercing Wuya Tie's hand. The light left a large hole in his hand, exposing the fractured bones and sending blood flying. Wuya Tie let out a howl of agony.
If it wasn't for the fact that he needed Linglong Huo to see Wuya Tie's true colors, Qingfeng Li would have killed him right off the bat.
Seeing the scene before her, Linglong Huo did not feel a shred of sympathy for her senior brother. She had just heard him tell Yijian Jin that he could have her with her own ears. In order to survive, Wuya Tie was willing to give her away; it was absolutely disgusting.
Linglong Huo used to think that Wuya Tie was a decent person. He had courted her for a long time, but she still secretly had feelings for the Fire Emperor.
Even though it's been years since the Fire Emperor went missing, she had still been waiting for him. That was why she never accepted Wuya Tie's feelings. But today, she saw him for what he truly was, an animal masquerading as a human being. In order to stay alive, he was willing to do anything.
Not paying any more attention to Wuya Tie and his howling, Qingfeng Li turned to face her. ”You are Linglong Huo,” he said, ”am I correct? You're the Fire Emperor's junior sister.”
Surprise flashed across Linglong Huo's face. She had never seen Qingfeng Li before. Why did he know her name, and that her senior brother was the Fire Emperor?
A hint of hope appeared in her eyes as she hurriedly spoke. ”Have you seen my senior brother, Fire Emperor? Where is he right now? Is he alright? I've been thinking of him all this time.”
Seeing the urgency and joy in Linglong Huo's eyes, Qingfeng Li felt a hint of sorrow. It had been clear when he had received the Fire Emperor's teachings that he loved his junior sister very much. Linglong Huo and the Fire Emperor had grown up together, but now, they were forever parted by death.
Before Qingfeng Li's silence, Linglong Huo seemed to guess something. Her face turned pale. ”My senior brother,” she murmured. ”What happened to him? Say something!”
With a thought, Qingfeng Li retrieved the Fire Emperor's ashes from his interspatial ring. ”Linglong Huo,” he said, ”this is the Fire Emperor's ashes.”
”A few decades ago, in order to pick an emperor level spirit herb for you, the Fire Emperor was hunted down by Wuya Tie. In the end, he escaped to Earth and died there.”
”The Fire Emperor's final wish was for his ashes to be buried on the Mars, and for me to tell you that the one he loved was always you.”
With trembling hands, Linglong Huo took the box containing the Fire Emperor's ashes from Qingfeng Li. Tears fell ceaselessly from her eyes as she thought about all the things that she and her senior brother had experienced together.
Linglong Huo grew up with the Fire Emperor. From the same village, they had both entered the Fire Emperor Sect together. And as both of them were exceptionally talented, they were held in high regard by the elders and gained candidacy for the position of sect master of the Fire Emperor Sect in the future.
