Days after the exam, Yve decided to focus on her work as the CEO of SkyMu and finalizing the plans for the surprise wedding.

Vince also makes sure to come home and sleep with her despite his busy schedules. He still needs to convince the local small time investors of Stones Enterprises. However, contradictory to the previous meetings, everything goes well according to what they want.

”Edward, I want you to investigate something.” Vince said as he continuously checks his computer for the changes in the stock price of Stones.

”What would that be?”

”Identify what or who would be the reason for the positive attitude of the local investors. I want to plan ahead of time. This person might have a hidden agenda. I want to be fully prepared.” Vince explained.

Instead of giving an answer, he swallowed his non-existing saliva. When he told Sylvan of the positive news the night of the examination day, Sylvan told him that Yve already sent the invitations. From then, he already understood the reason for the investors' change of hearts.

'I need to delay the investigation until the wedding. Evidently, Vince will realize this.' Edward thought as he lied and answered,

”Okay. I'll check on it.”

”Thanks. By the way, drive me straight to SkyMu. I will fetch Yve for a change.” Vince said since they're a bit early than usual. Aside from that, they are scheduled to meet Haru for the taste testing of the desserts.

”Yve, are you sure that Vince will not be suspicious of this taste testing?” Haru called and asked on the phone.

”No, I'm sure of that. I already explained to him that I want to try your existing original creations and if I'm not satisfied, I would ask you to create another dish.” Yve explained.

”Seriously?” Haru asked more worried than ever.

”That's what I told you but I won't ask you to do that.”

”Promise?”

”I give you my word for that.”

”Okay. Then I'll see the both of you in the hotel tonight.”

”Yes.”

Then the call ended.

'He also worries so much.' Yve thought when her phone suddenly rang.

This time it was from Maddie .

”Mom?” Yve politely asked Maddie. Calling her mom seemed to be natural for her already.

”I like hearing you calling me 'Mom', Yve.” Maddie expressed her happiness.

”Me, too. Thank you so much.”

”Now, now, dear. There's no need for such a drama.” Maddie hushed the idea as she knew this is a sensitive issue for Yve.
