They drive towards one of Gray Group's companies took a while. Edward drove for about two hours before they reached the premises.
”This building is very far.” Nyelle remarked.
”Yes. Normally, we start at the farthest sub-company going to the main branch.” Edward explained.
Then Edward went out of the car and went to her side to open it for her. Vince saw this kind gesture and smiled inside his car. They arrived almost at the same time.
”Bro!”
”Vince.”
”Good morning to the two of you. Let's talk around lunch time, Nyelle.” Vince greeted them.
”It's okay.”
”Let's go to the office first.” Vince said and approached Edward.
He whispered to his cousin, ”Congratulations!”
”Stop it, bro!” Edward blushed a little and Nyelle instantly understood what the boys are talking about.
With Vince in front, Nyelle followed and beside her was Edward whose arm is glued to her waist. The employees, this time, we're shocked to see the CEO's secretary with a woman and that the CEO was fine with it. Gossips and rumors are evident as they walk to the office.
”Who's the woman beside Secretary Edward?”
”Maybe she's his woman.”
”Of course! Look at Sir Edward's arm around her waist.”
”But why is Mr. Gray fine with it?”
”Don't you recognize her?”
”Why should we?”
”She's the rumored best friend of Mrs. Gray.”
”That's why it's fine for Mr. Gray.”
”So, there might be a chance that Sir Edward is treating her well because of Mrs. Gray.”
”Have you ever seen Sir Edward treat a female just because she's close to the Boss? None right? There is definitely something between that lady and Sir Edward.”
With a fierce look from Edward, the employees were forced to disperse and to continue their respective jobs.
”Don't mind them, Nyelle.” Edward said.
”I understand them. They're just curious about my identity. They mean no harm.” Nyelle answered.
”But it's not right to talk idly during office hours.” Vince said and with this in mind, Edward called the Human Resource manager as well as the supervisor of the department they just pass by. Nyelle was worried for employees so she whispered to Edward.
”What are you planning to do with them?”
”Face the sanctions. If it was their first offense then it's going to be a seminar for them. If not, then the necessary punishments will be applied.” Edward casually replied.
”You actually don't have to do that.” Nyelle said when they reached the elevator.
”Nyelle, it's actually not just because it was you. It's part of the code of ethics that every employee should have. You know this right? You were once an employee of Cozy Bell after all.” Vince explained.
Nyelle only nods as her answer.
Finally, they reached the office and Nyelle was instantly escorted to Edward's office.
