Vince didn't mention about Yve's short breakdown earlier during their conversation with the doctor. He decided to observe Yve first as it's indeed normal to feel scared at times under attack. They are now on the way to a restaurant after Yve asked Maddie to eat dinner with them. Vince just agrees with the suggestion to make both ladies comfortable. According to the doctor, Maddie still can't finish narrating the sequence that happened during her kidnapping. On the good side though, she's more open on the events that she was scared after the tragic experience.
In the middle of their dinner, Vince receives a call from Edward. However, Vince looks at Yve seeking for permission to answer the call.
”Son, working hours are way over.” Maddie warns her son time and time.
”Mom, it's fine. I know he had an important meeting but he cancelled it for me.” Yve defends her husband before looking at Vince to give her approval.
As Vince answers the call, Edward reports the events which happened with the investors' meeting. He also informs Vince of their request as well as the possibility that they're only interested in investing on SkyMu.
”Got it, Bro. Thank you for covering up for me. I'll ask for Yve's opinion first.”
”But if she will do that, she will be known.”
”Which is why I will give her the final decision for this crucial meeting.” Vince responds to Edward.
”Now, I will not disturb your family time any longer. I also have a date to go to.” Vince can imagine the blush on Edward's face before ending the phone call.
Vince returns to the table and finishes the meal with his mother and wife before driving Maddie back to the hotel and finally arriving home.
True to what Edward had informed Vince, he arrives at Nyelle's apartment and greets the hidden guards before knocking on the door.
”You're just in time for dinner.” Nyelle exclaims as she opens the door for the latter.
”I brought some popcorn and cola for movie later.” Edward shows the plastic bags he brought.
”Perfect! Now just get inside and make yourself comfortable. I will set the table so we can eat.”
”No, let me help you instead.” Edward removes his coat and tie and hangs them at the sofa before folding his sleeves while walking to the kitchen.
Their division of duties is totally in-sync. Nyelle places the dishes to plates as Edward puts them on the table. While they are doing the chores, Edward shares a little on how his day went. Nyelle also shares her piece.
”I'm a bit curious on how Slayne learned to cook magnificent dishes when he's busy with leading the team and the base while you and Vince are busy.” Nyelle asks Edward as they start to eat.
”When they were first adopted by Vince, Eybelle is a very small girl so she was the last one to be part of the dark side of the group. She also used to have a weaker body thus Slayne took it up to himself to prepare healthier food for them.” Edward explains.
”Is he the eldest?”
”Nope. It's actually Sylvan but you know how he is. Sylvan is responsible and caring but quite aloof. Slayne is next to him.”
”Hmm… I see. By the way, I learned some of these dishes from Slayne. He's a really good cook.”
”That's why the taste is quite familiar. Good job!” Edward compliments the food.
