324 Investors Dinner 2 (1/2)
As the car drives farther away, Yve notices that the road seems to be going to the main office of Noble. They're supposed to have a dinner meeting with some of his trusted investors, just to try to get some of her company's own. Confused on what's happening, she asks Vince.
”Why are we going to Mom's?
”Hmm… to be precise we're going to her boutique to get you a dress.”
”A dress? But I thought we're going to a meeting. Is it cancelled?”
”No. It's a dinner meeting, yes but it's after office hours. I don't want them to think that you're more of a student.”
”I could use my suit this morning.”
”You'll look stiff with that business attire.”
”So you want me to wear a dress instead?”
”Yup. Since it's after work, it will not be good to act all business. Plus you're an entertainment company president. Showing that you have a good fashion sense will give them a very good impression of you regarding your capability.” Vince explains in full details.
”Now I understand. Thank you for enlightening me on subtle details like this.” Yve smiles as they finally arrive at the boutique.
Rose instantly stands up and leads the way to the VIP dressing room where Yve can try out some of the dresses Maddie had chosen for her last night. However not seeing Maddie in the boutique got Yve all curious so while changing into one of the dresses, Yve asks Rose.
”Rose, if you don't mind me asking, where is Mom at the moment?”
”Oh, she's meeting a rich teen who's going to have a debut in a certain yacht.”
”Wow! A rich heiress so to say.”
”Yes but the kid is a bit special so Miss Maddie had to go all the way to her house.”
”I see. So how's the construction going?”
”Almost done. I'm liking the changes I see in my office.” Rose compliments the design as well as Yve's swift and creative decision weeks back.
After trying out some dresses, Yve choses a light green dress with flower patches making it look like a living black flower garden. When the curtain is finally opened once more, Vince can't seem to take his eyes off her.
”I've never seen you in green before.” Vince compliments the new feeling and look of his wife.
”Green isn't really my favorite but I thought why not try something new. It's Mom's design so I know I'll be fine.”
”You're more than just fine. You look really beautiful in that dress.” Vince smiles as he circles his arm around Yve's waist once more. It became a habit for him and her waist became a very comfortable place for his hand to stay put keeping Yve within his reach.
”Rose, may I have the perfect pair for this dress?”
Yve's hand is opens up and waits for something to be given as she stares into her husband's face. As an answer, Rose hands over a green and black tie into her hand. Yve gladly receives it and ties it perfectly around Vince's neck. Almost finished with the necktie, Yve notices that Vince's face changes in color.
”Are you doing okay, Vince?” Yve anxiously asks him as she knows how busy Vince has been and his body might be asking for a reimbursement.
”I'm fine. It's just this is the first time you've placed a necktie around me.”
