328 Yve is Absent 1 (1/2)
Eybelle knocks on the door of the guest room but hears nothing from her Lady Boss. With that response, Sylvan cancels some of her morning meetings as he attends the important ones. The news of her absence spreads like a wildfire at the office. Most of the employees who heard the news are worried that the workload and her studies have finally taken a toll on her body.
To calm them down, Sylvan releases a statement and posts it in their internal page that their boss overslept and needs to rest for the day. He also instructs them through a letter that if there's any important thing to be discussed they can call his office.
His open letter has somehow able to calm the employees enough for them to continue working and fulfilling the tasks entrusted to them.
Back at the couple's house, Yve has just woke up from her sleep by the sound of her hungry stomach. She heads directly to the kitchen and cooks a simple and easy to prepare dish to ease her hunger. Chrysthe comes in and informs her of what happened that morning. He also asks her if she wishes to go to school today. Yve's low energy is very noticeable to Chrysthe. From then on, he concludes that something is definitely wrong with the couple.
”Hmm… please go ahead and call Sylvan. I like to go out today.” Yve instructs Chrysthe.
”If I may ask, where do you want to go today?”
”No need to make the necessary arrangements. I will drive myself and pick up Nyelle on the base. We'll have some fun a little.”
”But Young Madam, we need to observe the perimeter all the time.”
”Chrysthe, I need some time alone with my friend. I'll have Eybelle personally guard us and her men can follow us from the shadows.” Yve plans out her security so as Chrysthe will have no other reasons for objections.
”Then, I'll call Eybelle and inform Slayne of what you just ordered.”
”Thank you very much, Chrysthe.”
Chrysthe leaves her alone to make the necessary arrangements. He also called his Boss regarding Yve's plans for the day.
”Let her do whatever she wants but you will replace Eybelle's position and have your men follow you around to have a better team work.” Vince orders.
”Will do that, Sir!”
Listening to Chrysthe's report earlier, Vince is regretful of the things he did this morning. He gave in to his needs and forgot how Yve is easily scared. He should have been contented with the baby steps that Yve has been taking. Yet another part is asking him that if he will not act now, when will he be? Until when does he need to wait. His opinion on the matter is divided.
Vince decides it will be pointless to stay at the office without accomplishing anything because his mind is elsewhere. Left with no other choice, he leaves the office to look for his cousin, Edward for some brotherly moments.
Back at the house, Yve is getting ready to leave the house as Eybelle is patiently waiting beside the car. Nyelle is already waiting for them in the base after receiving Slayne's call.
”Slayne, shouldn't Yve be going to school this afternoon? I wonder why she wants to go out now?” Nyelle asks Slayne.
”She called in absent today for both work and school?” Slayne answers shortly.
”WHY?!”
Nyelle worriedly asks Slayne for more details. However, Slayne is hesitant to share anything as he doesn't have any solid proof. He also thinks that Yve might reveal the accurate information to Nyelle later.
