”Good evening, Mrs. Gray. I'm sorry if we're late.”
”Good evening! Actually you weren't late. I just came earlier than the time agreed.”
”I see that you are practicing one of Mr. Smith's business ethics.”
”Thank you. Please have a seat.” The compliment she received for following one of her father's ways makes her smile and this doesn't escape the hawk eyes of the investors.
”Mrs. Gray, if you don't mind, let's order the meal first. While waiting we can talk about tonight's agenda.”
”It's fine with me. However, I took the liberty of ordering the soup ahead. I hope that's okay with all of you. Please call me, Yve.”
”That's perfect! If you want to be called on your first name then do the same thing to us.”
Using each other's first names in conversation lightens the mood in the private dining room. As they have agreed, they order food first on their own preference.
”Now, let's talk about business.”
”Your answers the other night have amazed us and got us to a decision to invest in SkyMu but only SkyMu and nothing.”
”I totally understand. I'm already grateful that you want to invest in the company. I have prepared copies of my future plans for the company. Let me explain it to you.”
”There's no need for that. We want to be surprised on how you will make your visions a reality.”
”We hope that you have brought the agreement papers, so we can sign on it?”
”Of course! I was planning to convince you further in case you weren't satisfied with what I said the other night.” Yve smiles and gestures Sylvan to hand over copies of agreement papers to the investors.
After signing the papers, the waiter approaches them with the soup and dishes they ordered. The dinner is filled with laughter as they talk about random things – some business related while others aren't. Moreover, Yve feels that she gained people who are more than investors. She will treasure relationship with them.
Once the dessert has been consumed, they bid goodbye to each other with a smile. The investors leave in their cars with a pair inside. Yve also gets in her car with Sylvan in front.
”Sylvan, let's head to a nearby pastry shop first before driving to Gray Group.” Yve instructs Sylvan as the car leaves the restaurant.
Yve is very happy at the successful partnership she sealed tonight so she wants to celebrate it with her ever supportive husband. She chooses to buy their favorite red velvet cake and pair it with champagne from a convenience store beside the pastry shop.
Minutes after, Yve finally arrives at Gray Group's building. Sylvan guides her towards Vince's office. But just when Sylvan is about to open the door, Yve stops him.
”Let me do it instead, Sylvan. You may leave for the day. Thank you for your hard work.”
Sylvan picks up his Lady Boss' plan so without asking anything, he leaves her a door away from his Boss.
Yve takes a deep breath before opening the door. She didn't bother to knock as she knows that Vince won't be expecting anyone else except her. However, the office is empty. She walks to Vince's desk and sees the company files he must be reading, his coat is also hanging just beside his desk.
”Maybe he's asleep in the bedroom…”
Yve heads to Vince's private space and bedroom but found nobody there. She starts to worry and gives Vince's phone a call only to hear the ringtone and trace it on top of his table. She immediately calls on Eybelle who she knows is on standby.
”Young Madam, is there anything wrong?”
