How were the merchants supposed to convince the doctors to use their equipment?

The boss of the medical equipment supply company would be responsible for securing business with the hospital. The salesmen would be in charge of negotiating with the department directors and doctors. An excellent salesman would be able to make it so that a department director viewed him or her as part of their family.

This type of job would take place over a long period of time. Countless days would have to be spent maintaining a relationship.
