Zhang Fan felt awkward because of how polite and nice she was being. “Oh, it’s nothing. I really don’t drink much tea. Please do as you like. No need to mind me.” Since she was being so polite and sounded so sincere, this really helped to calm down Zhang Fan’s impatience. This was because Nie Shasha was highly skilled at dealing with others!

“Let’s have some Tie Guanyin tea, then!” Ma Wentao hurriedly took over. Since Zhang Fan wasn’t a tea drinker, Nie Shasha decided against performing any sort of tea ceremony. Instead, a server arrived to poured the tea for them, and then left the room.

Qin Rongyu then said, “This new hospital in Chasu City will have construction start next spring. President Nie, what are your plans regarding becoming a stockholder?”

Due to her father, Nie Shasha had already given part of the market in northeast China over to Qin Rongyu. The two women had different goals and philosophies. Although Nie Shasha also highly valued the basic medical market, she was still more interested in the medical equipment business. However, researching medical equipment turned out to be more difficult than she had thought, which was why she was still searching for new opportunities. Meanwhile, Qin Rongyu and Ma Wentao had more compatible goals. Qin Rongyu wanted to gain more power and influence through establishing a powerful hospital chain in all of China, while Ma Wentao wanted to have his hospitals become the #1 hospital business chain in China.

No matter if it was research or a hospital business, there would be something in common for both of them—highly skilled medical personnel.

“I would like to become a 20% shareholder. In the future, if you open up additional hospitals, I reserve the right to become one of the first shareholders as well,” Nie Shasha stated while putting down her teacup.

Something like this was a pure exchange of benefits. This would be unavoidable for development.

“Let me say that since I’ve already confirmed my partnership with Doctor Zhang beforehand, Doctor Zhang will be in charge of all medical decisions in the future.” Ma Wentao truly hoped that Nie Shasha wouldn’t want to get involved.

“That’s only natural. Professional decisions require professionals to make. However, I do have a small request! Could Doctor Zhang use only my company’s medical equipment in the future?”

“No. I would need to first determine the patient’s condition before making such a decision. I truly can’t do this.” Zhang Fan immediately objected because he knew that agreeing to this would be quite troublesome in the future. No matter what the patient’s situation was, if he was forced to use Nie Shasha’s medical equipment, he would become a surgical merchant, not a doctor.

“Haha, then in that case, if the conditions are appropriate, could Doctor Zhang use my company’s medical equipment then?”

“As long as the conditions are appropriate and the patient agrees, then yes.”

The rest of the details didn’t need to be discussed here at this meal. The lower-level managers would take care of that for them.

Zhang Fan finished his final shift, and was about to leave. Tong Lili also finished her rotation in the ICU department at the same time. Due to her apparent connection with Zhang Fan, Chen Qi gave Zhang Fan a lot of face by requesting the hospital administration department that Tong Lili be assigned to his orthopedic department #3. As for whether or not Tong Lili would be able to stay in orthopedic department #3? That would depend on her own hard work.

After finishing this night shift, Zhang Fan and Tong Lili had one day off to rest before they would need to receive their next assignment from the hospital administration department.
