Chasu City was quite beautiful early in the morning. The silvery city’s beauty would be accentuated by the clear blue sky that seemed like a sapphire.

Zhang Fan didn’t need to rest even though he had just worked a night shift. One of the benefits of working a night shift in the proctology department was that this department had much fewer emergency patients than most other departments. It was normal for night shift doctors in the proctology department to actually be able to sleep.

This morning, Zhang Fan was driving his girlfriend and younger sister to the airport while being filled with anxiety. There was no travel agency which organized tours to Thailand in Chasu City, so it was necessary for the two women to first fly to Raptor City. Only there would they be able to meet up with a travel agency that would arrange their trip to Thailand.

“Don’t talk to any strangers. Don’t eat anything that wasn’t prepared for you by the travel agency. Don’t get into any conflicts with anyone. If any problems happen at all, first try to think of a method to get a taxi to take you to the Chinese embassy!” Zhang Fan constantly nagged the two women. He really was quite worried. He had known nothing but Chinese society ever since he was born. He had never been to any other country before, so he didn’t know what the outside world was really like. This was simply human nature. People would always be more afraid and worried about an unfamiliar and unknown environment than they actually needed to be.

“Also, Jingshu, you absolutely must listen to Shao Hua. You can’t be selfish,” Zhang Fan added.

“Brother, I know.” Jingshu was feeling quite helpless. She exchanged glances with Shao Hua, and could tell that the latter was also feeling quite helpless. This was the first time that Shao Hua had ever seen Zhang Fan being so naggy before.

“Was your brother like this before?” Shao Hua secretly whispered to Jingshu as they sat together in the back of Zhang Fan’s car.

“Not at all. This is the first time that I’m beginning to feel like my brother is annoying. Is he already entering menopause? You’ll be really unlucky then, Sister-in-law, hahaha!”

“What are you laughing about? We’re almost at the airport. Hurry and check to see if you’ve forgotten anything, such as your wallet or ID card.”

Finally, the two women left on their flight to Raptor City. Zhang Fan felt as if his heart was dangling over a cliff. He hated this feeling of not being in control.

It was now winter vacation and almost New Year’s. Many people who worked in other places and students who went to other cities had now returned to Chasu City. More people were now out and about on the streets.

The medical license examination results for this year had now come out for Wang Yanan’s generation of intern doctors. This time, Chasu City Hospital’s intern did quite well overall. There were only three intern doctors who didn’t pass the medical license examination. Wang Yanan got more than 400 points on her exam1.

Although Wang Yanan’s score wasn’t as ridiculous as Zhang Fan’s score of over 500, her score was still quite good already. She was already the prideful type to begin with. Now, she was able to hold her pretty little face up even higher.

If there was only one man amongst a group of women, then this man usually wouldn’t have a very good time.

But if there was only one woman amongst a group of men, and this woman was rather pretty and had a good family background, then things would be quite different for her compared to the only man amongst a group of women. No matter if this only woman was married or not, all of the men would either obviously or secretly spoil her. If this woman had good emotional intelligence, then she could really feel quite comfortable in such a work environment.

Wang Yanan was currently in this type of situation. As she gained more work experience, her arrogant personality had been reduced significantly. Now, she would sweetly address others as “brother” or “teacher”. Xue Fei felt as if his bones would melt just from hearing her voice, even though he was already married. Although the doctors would still fight with her for surgeries, orthopedic department #1 had fully accepted her by now. The younger male doctors would also really pay attention to her. Wang Yanan was now like the unofficial vice director of orthopedic department #1.

Rotation doctor Wang Zipeng barely managed to pass the medical license examination. Maybe it was because he had started an early romance in middle school which lasted even now, causing his score to lower. “Bro, whom should I work under?” Wang Zipeng had eaten several meals with Zhang Fan and Li Liang before. That was why Wang Zipeng imitated Li Liang in addressing Zhang Fan as brother.
