Chapter 291 - : Korean cars vs. Chinese cars (1/2)

Wang Congcong’s mother felt like she was going insane! She had originally been having fun chatting with her husband, but when she saw her son’s hand and how he kept vomiting, she transformed into a mother wolf!

“My Congcong! My Congcong! What happened, just what happened here!?” Her ponytail instantly came apart and became messy hair!

“My son! Give him to me!” Wang Congcong’s father immediately grabbed his son from his father-in-law. He couldn’t be bothered right now to care about his attitude towards his father-in-law! Both parents’ world had immediately collapsed. Congcong’s father instantly became teary-eyed when he saw how his son was going unconscious with a pale face, with wrist still dripping blood.

Tears kept flowing down Wang Congcong’s father’s face, but he didn’t dare to cry out loud. “My baby! My son! Daddy, daddy is here, daddy is here!”

People of the border province were friendly and passionate. Those who really hated others to the point of wanting them to die were rare. Most coworkers would have a good relationship. One coworker used his personal car to directly transport Wang Congcong and his parents.

“Hurry and get on the car!” At such a moment, the coworker only cared about saving the child, even though he was the type who would wipe his car clean instantly whenever it got even slightly muddy!

“Rest assured, he can still be saved.” Another coworker was riding along in the car on the passenger side seat. He was currently talking to the police and telling a dispatcher about the current situation.

The Rural Electricity Bureau managed the electricity supply for the entire agricultural part of Chasu City’s jurisdiction. On average, there would be an employee who was injured by electricity due to an accident or improper handling of equipment once every two to three years. That was why the employees of the Rural Electricity Bureau were already highly familiar with who to contact for emergency treatment.

The coworker was talking to the police rather than trying to call for an ambulance first, because calling for an ambulance was useless. The traffic jams were so bad that it would be impossible for an ambulance to come over quickly. He could only ask the police for help! After asking for help from the traffic police, only then did he call for an ambulance.

Normally, most people would think that the police were really serious and severe while rarely being gentle. This really couldn’t be helped due to the nature of their job. Being too gentle would diminish their authority.

However, in such a situation, the police really were the defenders of ordinary citizens. The dispatcher immediately reported the situation to his higher-ups!

While standing in front of the large screen showing the surveillance of transportation in all of Chasu City, the chief of police announced in a serious tone to everyone, “Attention, everyone. All units, this is headquarters, this is headquarters. A white Hyundai sedan with license plate number FD325 is currently heading west on Rainforest Street towards a hand and foot surgery private hospital. There’s a young child with a cut off hand in the car. I now command that every single intersection along the section of Rainforest Street to the hospital be manned by a police officer who must ensure that the street is clear for this car. Additional officers should be dispatched in order to escort this car all the way to the private hospital! This is to guarantee that the child can reach the hospital as quickly as possible. I repeat…”

“Understood!” x3

Although it was currently rush hour as everyone was getting off of work, all intersections along Rainforest street suddenly became manned by police officers who blew their whistles while limiting all traffic.

“F*ck, what government leader is visiting here today!? These mother******* police, sh*t, they’re not even letting us go outside!?” Some impatient drivers became angry and started cussing!

Right as the car that Wang Congcong was in entered the main part of Chasu City, four police cars had already arrived to escort them. The police didn’t get off their cars, but one police officer drove up, and asked, “Is there an injured child in your car?”

“Yes, that’s right!” the coworker on the passenger side answered excitedly. He hadn’t expected that the police would arrive so swiftly.

“Alright, follow us! Let’s go.” The police officer then spoke into his walkie-talkie, “The car in question has been located. Turn on the sirens and ensure that the road is clear so that we can proceed at maximum speed!”

All four police cars turned on their sirens. Everyone swiftly passed by each intersection. The coworker who was driving the Hyundai with Wang Congcong reflexively looked at his speedometer. He was now driving more than 100 km/h in the city.

Over just a few minutes in the car, Wang Congcong’s mother seemed just like a wilting flower as she had suddenly aged. She tightly held on to the bottle with Wang Congcong’s tiny hand in it, while Wang Congcong’s father’s beard was wet with tears. However, his eyes had a resolute expression as he held on to his son.

Wang Congcong was still twitching from the immense pain. The extreme pain, fear, and massive blood loss had caused him to greatly weaken after vomiting. He constantly drifted in and out of consciousness.

Wang Congcong’s grandparents followed behind the Hyundai in a taxi. The grandparents felt as if they wanted to die right now. Their lips and hands were trembling. They were still covered in blood. They wanted to cry, but had no tears left.

Had they made a mistake? Whose fault was this? Honestly, watching a young child truly was a major responsibility! Such a heavy responsibility!

Batu was helping to run Zhang Fan’s hospital now. He was highly experienced at hospital administration to begin with as he was the former superintendent of Kuake City Hospital. Now that he had also experienced jail for a year and a half, he had become even more skilled at interacting with others. He simply observed everything for his first week after joining Zhang Fan’s hospital.

He observed the doctors, the hospital’s environment, and also things outside the hospital. During Batu’s second week as Zhang Fan’s hospital’s hospital administration director, he found an opportunity with Chen Qifa to pretend to scold the latter to help cement Batu’s authority.

On Batu’s third week, he started wielding the power of money everywhere. He donated two cars to the police station. All he asked for was a placard which said that Zhang Fan’s hospital was a collaborative partner of the police station.

Batu gave gifts to the ambulance dispatch center. He gave gifts to the leaders as well as the dispatchers. He didn’t ask for anything at all in return. This was only to help get others acquainted with him.

As for taxi companies, Batu would pay 200 yuan to any taxi driver who brought a patient to Zhang Fan’s hospital.

Batu personally visited all of the bigger hospitals in the area, getting in contact with their emergency departments and orthopedic surgery departments.

He wasn’t stingy with reporters, either. Batu spent money as if it grew on trees for the time being. Zhang Fan’s hospital had originally been making a profit, but money suddenly became tight. Chen Qifa felt like his heart was breaking as he watched this.

“This isn’t Batu’s personal business. This isn’t Kuake City Hospital! He doesn’t care at all about spending your money. Just look at how generous he’s being with others. He gave two Volkswagon Passats to the police station without even blinking! Look! Look! In just two weeks, he’s already spent all of the profits that the hospital has made! Teacher Zhang, my heart hurts!”
