230 Making Body Light but Not Old (1/2)

Some licorice roots could make the human body light and younger, but Wang Yao couldn't get those licorice roots at the moment.

”Thank you,” said Guo Sirou after keeping silent for a long while.

”Who do you want me to see?” Wang Yao neither declined nor consented.

”I would like you to see my mother,” said He Qisheng.

”Is she in Beijing?” asked Wang Yao.

”Yes,” said He Qisheng.

”Okay, can I see her tomorrow morning?” asked Wang Yao.

”Of course! Thank you so much!” said He Qisheng excitedly. After spending time with Wang Yao several times, he had known Wang Yao well enough that nothing would make Wang Yao do what he didn't want to do.

”Please don't tell anyone about it,” said Wang Yao.

”I won't,” said He Qisheng.

After staying for a short while, he left.

Wang Yao went to Su Xiaoxue's house in the afternoon again.

After the gauze had been removed from Su Xiaoxue's left hand, quite a few black and purple scar tissue dropped off. They were replaced by new and fresh muscle tissue. Half of her left hand had turned pink. Although it still looked horrible, Su Xiaoxue's family had seen hope.

”Can someone unwrap the gauze on her face?” asked Wang Yao.

The face was different from the hands, so Wang Yao didn't unwrap the gauze on Su Xiaoxue's face himself.

The nursing staff slowly unwrapped the gauze from Su Xiaoxue's head. The process of removing the gauze was extremely slow, and the nurse did it gently. Wang Yao was observing the process closely as he wanted to learn how to remove gauze properly. As a Traditional Chinese Pharmacist, he had the basic knowledge of how to dress a wound and remove a gauze, but he had limited chances to practice it. He had never dealt with wounds before seeing Su Xiaoxue.

Meanwhile, Su Xiaoxue started to feel cool in her face which had been burning hot. The drops of decoction went quickly into the muscles and even into the bones. They slowly removed the excruciating pain and hot feeling, as if she were wearing a face mask made of snow.

Wang Yao spent nearly one hour applying the decoction to Su Xiaoxue's face.

”Done, please cover her face with gauze,” said Wang Yao.

The biggest risk for open wounds like these was infection. Human skin was the first and strongest line of defense against bacteria and virus.

”I'll be back tomorrow night,” said Wang Yao.

Song Ruiping was very grateful.

Wang Yao started to think of another problem on his way back to the cottage.

If he had enough Muscle Revitalization powder to be diluted in pure water, he could allow Su Xiaoxue to submerge her body in the diluted decoction as a form of hydrotherapy. Would this method be more effective?

Wang Yao knew the Muscle Revitalization powder was working, but he didn't have adequate powder.
