”I'll brew a decoction for you tomorrow,” said Wang Yao.
”Okay,” said Wang Fenghua.
There was no wind at night. It was hot and humid.
A lot of villagers were sitting or standing on the street to cool down, although it was not much cooler outside. There was no wind inside out.
A few villagers said hello to Wang Yao. They knew Wang Yao went to Nanshan hill every night and no longer thought it was a weird thing. They had stopped gossiping about Wang Yao. They talked more about Wang Chengchang.

After making an appointment to see Professor Lu's relative, Wang Yao left Nanshan hill. He brought the decoction to his father and advised him to take the decoction regularly. Wang Fenghua was smoking, his cigarette was taken away by Wang Yao right away.
”You shouldn't smoke in the morning. How about inhaling some fresh air instead,” said Wang Yao.
Wang Fenghua didn't say anything, he just smiled.
Wang Yao took a look at Wang Fenghua after he had taken the decoction, then left for his clinic.
Professor Lu brought a middle-aged woman to the clinic. She seemed to be at similar age with Professor Lu, but her hair had turned greyish white. She didn't look well, but Wang Yao could tell from her eyes and her look that she used to be a pretty woman when she was young.
”Hello, Dr. Wang,” said Professor Lu.
”Hello, Professor Lu,” said Wang Yao.
”This is He Wan.” Professor Lu introduced the middle-aged woman to Wang Yao.
”Hello Ms He, please come in,” said Wang Yao.
”Okay,” said He Wan.
She seemed to be weak while walking. Her face was pale, and she was short of breath.
She is quite ill, thought Wang Yao.
”I'll make you a cup of tea,” said Wang Yao.
”Thank you,” said He Wan.
”Can you please take a look at her?” said Professor Lu.
”Okay,” said Wang Yao.
He checked her pulse.

Wang Yao looked up at He Wan, then Professor Lu after a moment.
Renal failure!
He Wan was suffering from a well-known disease, uremia, which had caused renal failure.
Renal failure was unlikely to be cured even with advanced medical technology nowadays. The only way to cure Renal failure was kidney transplant. However there was a big shortage of kidney. Professor Lu's eyes were full of hope. He knew what medical condition the middle-age woman had, and was aware that she was unlikely to be cured. However, he still hoped Wang Yao could make a miracle.
”Renal failure, which is very hard to treat,” said Wang Yao.
”Yes, I know. We've been waiting for a suitable kidney for transplant. Could you please do anything to reduce her symptoms and pain?” asked Professor Lu.
A patient suffering from renal failure often experienced tiredness, nausea, and even unconsciousness. The illness didn't just affect one single organ, it affected a number of organs.

Wang Yao took out a little porcelain bottle, which contained three newly brewed herbal pills.

”Thank you.” Professor Lu took the porcelain bottle.
”What is the name of the pill?” asked Professor Lu.
”Nine herb pill,” said Wang Yao.
Professor Lu and He Wan left the clinic. Wang Yao started to think of treatment methods for renal failure.
That Dr. Wang looks so young,” said He Wan after she had come out of the clinic.
