90 The reason Fiends are so strong (1/2)
The next three hours were the most anti-climatic moments of my life.
After Jasvinder arrived with his team, the medic in their team checked and gave an 'Okay' to Neha's injuries.
Jasvinder and Upma were surprised when they saw the changes in me and asked me about my evolution. But I wanted to keep it a secret for the time being.
It would be wise tounderstand it properly myself before flaunting it to others.
An hour after that, Rahul arrived with even more medicinal supplies that were not needed.
He was surprised by the changes in my body but did not ask anything as he was too worried about Neha.
In those three hours, Jasvinder had already scouted the area and told me that there were no mutant beast hordes in the immediate vicinity so we were safe for the time being.
On the side, I could see Raka giving a report to Rahul. I could see that he was a bit upset about the 3 members of my team that died/went missing. But he did not said anything to me.
After all was cleared, Rahul told Jasvinder and his group to continue with the plan and gave them a new path to scout from.
He also told me that after Neha heals completely, I will have to complete my mission with my remaining team members, and gave me a new path to scout from as well.
He said that since I have gained another evolution, I should be fully capable of keeping my team safe this time.
After that speech, Jasvinder and his team left to continue with the mission while Rahul went back to lead the camp once again.
So yeah, these 3 hours were rather anti-climatic if I do say so myself.

After everyone left, me and Raka sat outside the house and chatted for a few minutes before I realized that I was wasting my time.
Neha would not wake up any time soon because of the strong sedatives she had been given so there was not much point in staying next to her all the time.
I wanted to go hunting for more cores and crystals but held myself back because I did not want to stray too far away from her either.
If I was away hunting and mutant beasts attack the town in the meanwhile, then I would never forgive myself. Even if Jasvinder told us that there were no mutant beast horde in the immediate vicinities, I did not want to take any chances.
Plus, I did not trust Raka that much. I did not wanted him anywhere close to my sister while I was away and she was in no condition to protect herself.
'Might as well train with the sword and dagger.' I thought and then went in a nearby clearing where I could keep an eye on Raka and train myself as well.
But as soon as I took out the sword and dagger from my spatial ring, I knew that something was wrong.
'Their weight… It has decreased by too much.' I murmured to myself as I gave a few swing to the sword.
It felt like swinging a toothpick.
Yeah, toothpick is a bit of an exaggeration but you get the point.
'What happened.' I thought and then felt the bulging muscles in my arms and shoulders.
Before the evolution, I was a slim person.
After the evolution, I realized that I would still fall under the 'slim person' category, but with a lot more rippling muscles on my body.
'Your evolution made you quite strong.' Lily murmured and I wanted to complain about how she was just pointing the obvious but held my thoughts in check.
'Show me my stats will you.' I said and a screen was soon displayed in my helmet.
