58 - Embarrassing Yourself (1/2)

Xiao Haiqing was worried that Jing Yunzhao didn't have that much cash on her. She wanted to remind her of that and take out some money of her own to use. However, she was afraid she would hurt Jing Yunzhao's pride. Xiao Haiqing was troubled.

However, Jing Yunzhao was acting as if she wasn't bothered by this at all. She only nodded and sat down.

The dishes were ordered beforehand. Jing Yunzhao was also hungry and since it was just the two of them, she had no need to hold herself back and told the server to start serving the food.

Xiao Haiqing's family was well off. When she was ordering, she didn't think about it too much. But now, seeing dish after dish of exquisite and expensive things being brought in, she began to feel restless.

Of course, this was just a small part of it. To beat Ye Qing, Xiao Haiqing ordered more of the expensive dishes. Haiqing didn't know the names of these dishes. Even in her mouth, they tasted foreign. Plus, Jing Yunzhao had never even heard of some of the ingredients in these dishes.

”Um… Yunzhao, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I let you paid for all of this. How about we each pay half?” Xiao Haiqing said, trying to test Jing Yunzhao's limits.

Jing Yunzhao was eating quite happily: ”No need. I already said I will treat you. It's okay to have leftovers. I'll take some home later. I have two friends I'm living with. It can last for quite a few days.”
