3 Episode 3: Former Demon King and Human Family (1/2)

”Loomia is here to see her brother. Can you open it, Brother Yuki?”

From across the door, there was a voice from my sister, Loomia.

Sneaking up again, they're coming to this building over here.

On the grounds of the Baron Grossaria family there are two buildings.

One is my father and brother Zeros, the main building where my sister Loomia lives.

The other is the separation where I live.

The detachment is a two-story little thing, just me and my maid Martha.

It's connected to the main building in the crossing hall, but I'm told not to show my face that way.

”Don't come away. My brother told me. Roomia.”

”I think it's natural for my sister to come and see my brother. Brother.”

The door opens and the blonde girl shows her face.

A little girl with big cherry blossom eyes.

This is my sister, Loomia. I turn ten this year.

”It's dining time, so I came to call instead of Martha”

messing with the mound and fingers, Loomia said.

”I wanted to talk to my brother while I was in the dining room.”

”Recent developments or something?

”Yes.”

”I woke up this morning and had breakfast. After reading a book to enter a school for ordinary people, I tried to teach my father swordsmanship and Brother Zeros took it. After lunch, I was waving a wooden sword by myself. So to this day.”

”I think your brother should lean closer to the girl's feelings.”

”Why are you angry?

”I'm not angry.”

”Well, anyway, let's go along the way. Roomia.”

I took Loomia's hand.

”Yes, my brother!

Roomia smiles so much.

At all, I don't know what a human is.

The Baron's building is old.

My father took over the Glossarian family, which he had cut off a long time ago.

I can't rebuild the territory because it's not that rich either, and in the end, I use it as old as it is.

The territory lies north of the King's Capital and is cold in winter.

The specialties are fruit and fur. So far, they're hostile. No opponents.

The inhabitants are my father and brother, me and Loomia, and a few other servants.

Oh, and there's another magic instructor.

”Away is a sudden breeze. Brother.”

”I don't know if I can handle it with magic”

”I wish I had an item like that”

”It could be the Lindbell Sorcery Guild where my brother is going.”

Me and Loomia's brother, Zeros-Grossalia, are looking to train for a magic guild in the King's Capital.

The Lindbell Sorcery Guild is a giant organization of educational and research institutions in sorcery.

When you become a trainee in the Alliance, they can teach you powerful 'ancient magic'.

The Alliance is also affiliated with senior nobles such as the Duke's House, the Marquis's House, and the Royal Family. For that reason, they say it's a status for the nobility to join a child in a magic guild.

That's why I'm hiring a tutor at the Baron's to put my brother in a magic guild.

I'm interested too... but honestly, I don't want to get involved.

Thinking about ancient magic, it reminds me of the Church of the Sanctuary.

Nevertheless... how many years has it been since my last life...?

I don't think it means ten or twenty years.

It was the name of the country, the royal family, and the nobility I taught since I was reincarnated, and there was nothing I knew. You mean that's how long it's been.

For some reason, they couldn't tell me about The Sanctuary Church.

Really, I wonder what happened to the world after that.

”Brother Yuki, are you listening?

”Bad. I wasn't listening. Hey, what's up?

”It's the usual review. I'm going to read out what I learned today, so listen.”

Roomia begins to mumble passages of poetry.

It's a poem that was in my day, too, to learn the pronunciation necessary for witchcraft.

”... So, what do you think? Brother.”

”The name of the first person to come out, the pronunciation was strange. And the last phrase speaks too fast. You were lying to me.”

”... ugh. My father couldn't...”

”Roomia's a lot to catch on with pronunciation.”

”Really?

”Slower. You should try to be aware of the tongue movement.”

”'Ro no', is it?

”A little slower. Breathe longer.”

”I'll try, brother.”

This reminds me of my previous life.

I used to teach the children of the village how to study back then.

That room where I died wasn't between the thrones or anything, it was just a classroom. I've been a village teacher for about 120 years in that place.

Speaking of which, at some point, the literacy rate (Shikiritsu) of ”Village of Fira” achieved 100%, and I was surprised by travellers coming from the Wang capital.

After I was reincarnated, I was taught to study by deacons and maids.

The only child in the Baron's family who had a tutor was Brother Zeros, his son.

As far as I'm concerned, I wish I could have learned the knowledge of this era, so I wasn't dissatisfied at all...

... because Loomia made me cry, 'I can't keep up with my studies'.

'Accidentally', while I was supporting you, it became a habit.

I've told Roomia to keep it to herself, and nobody's telling me anything, so far, it doesn't look like it's broken.

”What about those who grab the flames and those who grasp the great light?”

”The pronunciation is getting better. You should ask your father in the next class. I think we should move on to activating magic.”

”... Roomia would like your brother to see it.”

I told you not to tell me about me.

”Next then. Brother. Next...”

”Time's up. Roomia.”

At some point, we were on the ground floor of a detachment.

If you go straight, the dining room.

Turn left, it's a crossing that leads to the main building.
