The main hall of the A Gate was located in a pear garden. It was late winter and large snowflakes were pressed on the pear tree, giving it a unique charm.
Above the main hall, two censers were smoking. On one of the lotus seats sat an old man with a horsetail whisk in his hand. He had a ruddy complexion and he could not help but make people think of the word 'immortal'.
”Master, junior apprentice-brother has arrived.” The messenger disciple stepped forward and bowed, and then the elder opened his eyes and waved for Zhou Tong to come forward.
”Are you the disciple who charged straight into my A Gate the day before yesterday?”
”Yes, disciple Zhou Tong greets Master.” Zhou Tong walked forward and cupped his fists as he said this. After probing with his mind, he immediately knew that the old man's cultivation was at the second stage of three levels of lucidity.
”Yes, my name is Bai Ling. From now on, you are my disciple. Cultivate well. Don't disgrace the reputation of my A Gate.” The old man stroked his beard, and looked at Zhou Tong with narrowed eyes.
”This disciple will remember Master's instructions.”
”Hmm? ”You are also a martial cultivator?”
Taoist Master Bai Ling looked at Zhou Tong carefully, his squinted eyes suddenly opened, revealing a look of astonishment, ”It's been a hundred years since a disciple charged into A Gate, never did he expect that he would be a martial cultivator disciple.”
”Disciple was merely lucky.” Zhou Tong lowered his head and replied indifferently.
”Mm. He is neither arrogant nor impatient. It is truly rare for a martial artist to have such a peaceful state of mind.”
Taoist Master Bai Ling nodded his head in satisfaction, ”As for luck, you don't have to be so modest. Being able to rush straight to A Gate shows how solid your foundation is.”
Zhou Tong felt a little awkward in his heart. If not for the fact that he had coincidentally acquired the mysterious Print and doubled the ability of returning the mysterious black paint to him, Zhou Tong really did not have the confidence of reaching A Gate.
”Alright, the reason why I invited you here today is to see exactly what is so special about this little fellow that is rarely seen in a hundred years. There is indeed something different with a single look.” ”Come forward, Master has something for you.”
Taoist Master Bai Ling waved her hand towards Zhou Tong, and took out an ancient book.
”Master, this is?” Zhou Tong walked forward and received the ancient book with both hands. The words ”Liu Yue Sword Art” were written on the book.
”This is your reward.” The Taoist Master Bai Ling laughed.
”You might not know this, but among the few founding ancestors of the Star Gauze Sword Sect, one of them is a grandmaster cultivator. He had stored a large number of rare and precious swordsmanship manuals in his sect for thousands of years. ”However, in this world, it is as difficult as ascending the heavens for a martial cultivator to rise to the top. The number of people who practice the martial arts are extremely few. The fact that you have this level of cultivation is because of fate.”
”Now that you are a cultivator and the only disciple to rush up to A Gate in the past hundred years, I will pass on this [Liu Yue Sword Art] to you as a reward for breaking this record, go back and train yourself.”
Taoist Master Bai Ling waved her whisk, and a speck of light the size of a gem fell onto the sword manual. A clear sound of glass shattering could be heard.
”I have already removed the restrictions on it, you can take it back to practice. ”Be sure to keep it well. Don't get it dirty or broken. Even if your training is complete, keep it well. It cannot be destroyed.”
”Thank you, Master.”
Zhou Tong knelt down on one knee and kowtowed to Taoist Master Bai Ling, his heart full of helplessness.
This [Liu Yue Sword Art], although much better than the Zhou family's level 1 and 2 stage martial skills, it could be considered a level 3 sword skill once it was dead. Forget about [Mo Li Sword Art], any random sword technique Zhou Tong trained with would be much better than this [Liu Yue Sword Art].
However, Zhou Tong knew that he still had to practice. After all, this was something passed down within the sect, if he used it within the sect, it would at least not appear too out of the blue, or cause suspicions to arise from the master of the sect.
After thanking his master, Zhou Tong returned to his room. He did not even return to his room to greet Xue Yang, but instead brought his sword manual to the training grounds in the rear mountain.
Opening the book, he took out the Meteorite Sword s, and a simple sword technique immediately danced by Zhou Tong.
In his previous life, Zhou Tong had practiced thousands of sword techniques all over, and this was merely a level 3 sword technique from the lower realms.
