Chapter 21:Meeting (1/2)
Qian Meigui followed Song Ren and Yang Minzhe to the meeting room. She was a representative of the Public Relations and Marketing Department; therefore, she was able to be present.
Qian Meigui noticed Su Feng leave the building and loosed a deep breath. Su Feng would surely attract attention from their colleagues.
Qian Meigui and Yang Minzhe waited for Song Ren as she entered her private office to change into spare clothing before she came out.
Song Ren had the aura of a powerful lady, and Qian Meigui admired her confidence. She wished to be more like her.
They walked into the meeting room; several executives were already waiting. Song Ren sat the very end with a high chair. She represented her father, so most orders have to get through her first before it gets to Song Rui.
Shortly after, the CEO's of smaller companies rolled in. Her face was cold and unyielding, not the type of person to let other corporations step over her. Just because she's the new lady boss; it did not mean she was inexperienced. She was born to do this.
The meeting began, and as companies proposed some ideas, Qian Meigui sketched and calculated some of the ideas in her head. How can they market it? How could it be successful? Who will benefit from these products?
The critical aspect of Song Corporation is to maintaining integrity. They would never sell ineffective supplements to gain money. They had to sell products that would benefit consumers.
Song Corporation divided into different aspects of medicine: off the counter, prescriptions, medications for hospital patients, and Chinese herbal medicine.
Qian Meigui watched as Song Ren accept, reject, and reconstruct some methods and ideas.
The President of Huang Corporation stepped forward to present his idea for a new drug that would assist an older cohort that is suffering from Polymyalgia Rheumatic disorder, which causes muscle pain and stiffness within the joints. Those who suffer from it experience immense pain.
After President Huang proposed his idea and provided the documents in front of Song Ren, her sister appeared puzzled. Song Ren looked over at the ingredients diligently. Her eyebrows furrowed, ”This is a very remarkable discovery indeed, but I need you to consider patients with type-2 diabetes, as it commonly affects adults. The drug you are proposing could potentially throw their sugar levels off balance,” she stated.
Song Ren quickly looked through the pages and said, ”I won't reject this idea, but I need you to do more research and provide me with a new proposal, as soon as possible.”
”Yes, Miss Song, we will do so immediately,” CEO Huang responded.
After hours of conference, Song Ren stood and said, ”Thank you, everyone, for attending this meeting. I look forward to our collaborations.”
The executives and employees left the room, leaving Song Ren, Yang Minzhe, and Qian Meigui left behind in the room.
Qian Meigui stood, excusing herself before Song Ren said to her, ”I need a report on how to market the new products we are establishing. Also, I need you to make sure the labels are accurate,” she said before dismissing her.
Qian Meigui smiled, ”Of course, CEO Song,” she teased. Song Ren smiled back.
Song Ren was left alone in the meeting room, shifting on a moveable chair, as she turned to face the windows.
