Chapter 23:Drunk (1) (1/2)
Rong Ming was a friend he made in University. He was a prominent executive now for the Entertainment Industry. He fooled around with a lot of women before, but in the end, he retired his hobbies when he met his now-wife.
It was only Rong Ming in the booth when he approached and sat on the leather sofas that surrounded a round table. He still looked the same years ago, only his features sharper.
”Sheng, what compelled you to summon me away from my dear wife.”
”Tell Rong Sying that I say hello,” Song Sheng said with a smile.
”I won't relay any messages to my wife that came from other men. Remember that Sying was interested in you first before she met me.”
Song Sheng smirked. ”Afraid I'll steal your wife?” he questioned Rong Ming.
Rong Ming rolled his eyes. ”Why did you call me?” he asked.
”I wanted to drink,” responded Song Sheng.
Rong Ming raised an eyebrow. It was rare for Song Sheng to drink in public. It usually occurred in his home when they were younger and fooled around.
Rong Ming requested the server to send them a few rounds of something strong and expensive. The server later appeared with vials of amber looking liquid. They downed a couple of shots before Rong Ming asked, ”How's your family?”
”As good as they can be,” Song Sheng said, straight to the point.
”Song Ren, is she adjusting to her new position?” Rong Ming asked.
”I believe so.”
”And the twins?”
”They're attending school.”
”Song Mei, how is she holding up?”
Song Sheng took another shot, the alcohol burning his throat. ”She's doing well from what I know.”
”Good,” Rong Ming began, ”We all know that Xiao Mei had trouble making friends growing up. She was very quiet and delicate.”
Rong Ming recalled when he first met Song Sheng's sister. He was surprised to see that Song Mei was the only one in the family who did not inherit typical features from the Song Family.
”How are things going with your wife?” Song Sheng asked.
”Why do you want to know so much about Sying?” Rong Ming questioned.
