Chapter 11 - Brilliant

”What are you looking at?” Sister Liu didn't even want to look at the wedding photo.

”Sis, why did you marry this person?” I finally couldn't stop myself from asking.

”Ahh, don't mention it. I've also brought calamity upon myself.” Sister Liu sighed with sadness in her eyes.

”Sis, tell me about it.” The more I said this, the more it piqued my interest.

”I was a hairdresser back then, and of course it wasn't what you think. I was just a regular hairdresser, and he was my customer back then.” Sister Liu couldn't stand my coaxing, so she explained to me.

He thought that he would cherish her, but it was just a short transaction. However, the other party had only paid some money, while he had to use his entire youth as the bargaining chip.

”Sis, do you regret it?” I'm just in time.

”Is there any use in regretting it?” I caressed Sister Liu's hair with a bit of heartache as I asked. I knew that the best way to make a woman completely devoted to you was to tear her wounds open and then drill back into the house to stitch them back together.

”Sister Liu, why didn't you divorce him?” I asked.

”Divorce. He said the divorce was going to kill my family.” Sister Liu laughed at herself, as if divorce was a joke to him, a huge joke.

”What? Sis, you must believe me. This is a legal society.” To be honest, I was shocked when I heard what Sister Liu said. Sister Liu would believe such a playful and threatening method.

”You don't know, he knows some friends, they are all underworld people, and he will definitely do what he says.” Sister Liu shook her head. There was still some fear in her eyes.

”Sis, didn't you sue?” I asked.

Sister Liu didn't say anything and slowly took off her pajamas. I thought that she wanted to do something, but then she took a wet towel from the bed and wiped my chest. A truly terrifying wound appeared in front of me.

”What's going on?” I was shocked and an indescribable rage filled my heart.

”He did.” Sister Liu didn't finish her sentence. An indescribable rage broke out in my heart. How dare you do such a vicious thing? You are worse than pigs and dogs.

”Do you think I can do anything now?” Sometimes, Sister Liu really wanted to poison his rice so that he could get it over and done with. However, he didn't have the courage to do so.

”Sleep with me in your arms, okay? We don't need to do anything.” There was actually a trace of pleading in her voice.

”Alright.” I nodded my head and hugged Sister Liu tightly into my embrace. I knew that this woman needed comfort.
