28 The goblin attack begins (1/2)
~~~ A few hours before, in the goblin camp ~~~
”My lord, the siege weapons have arrived.” the goblin knight walked into the goblin lord's tent and reported to the goblin lord.
”Get the engineers to rest, we will commerce the attack tomorrow morning.” the goblin lord replied, ”Oh, and call the mage leader over and gather the rest of the leaders as well.”
”Yes, My lord.” the goblin knight bowed and left the tent.
~~~ A few minutes later ~~~
”You called, my lord?” the head of the goblin mage came into the tent.
”Did master reply?” the goblin lord asked the mage.
”Yes, he has approved of your plan, of attacking the dungeon, though he will not accept any failures. Another army will take care of attacking the town.”As the head of the goblin mage replied the goblin lord, the rest of the goblin knights had arrived.
”My lord, what do you need?” as all of the goblin knight bow and greeted the goblin lord.
”This is the layout of current first floor of the dungeon, one of the hobgoblin that had escaped drew it. You guys come and take a look.” As the goblin lord rolls out a map on the table.
The goblin leaders gathered around the table and begin looking at the map, one of them started by saying, ”This is a rather small fort, we could send in some sacrifice to make that iron gate drop down before we send in the siege weapons. What we do not know is what lies after that.”
”No, if we just sacrifice them we might not have enough people left to clear the entire dungeon. They have a wraith lord in their forces, there are gargoyles, skeleton archers and skeleton mages as well, if we send them in they will all die before even dealing much damage to the opponent side.” the goblin lord spoke out.
”I will head in with the first group with engineers equipped with harpoons to take down the gargoyles, the head of goblin mages will be the second in command once I enter the fort, You guys will use the siege weapons to take down the iron gates while I handle the inside of the fort, make sure that the mages are protected as well.” The goblin lord begin explaining it's plan.
”Yes my lord, we will go according to your plan, please also take the remaining wolf cavalry who wants to take revenge for their platoon.” as the goblin knight gave a suggestion.
”Alright, I will bring them along with me. This will be the current plan, go take a rest we will gather in the morning. We have a dungeon to capture.” the goblin lord replied.
”Yes my lord.” All of them bowed and left the tent.
~~~ Early next morning ~~~
”My lord, the army is gathered are ready to attack.” the goblin knight came into the goblin lord's tent to informed it.

”Alright, let's start begin the capturing of this dungeon.” The goblin lord stood up and walked out of his tent. It's wolf stood in front of the tent as if awaiting for its arrival, as the goblin lord mounted onto the wolf, the wolf howls which echoed throughout the area and it begin to move towards the front of the army.
Without much words, the goblin army marches into the dungeon. Going according to the goblin lord's plan, the few goblin engineers that had the harpoons attached with ropes rode together with the wolf cavalry and they rushed head in towards the portcullis of the fort.
Without delaying the entire shock trooper team manages to cross the two iron gates before they were locked in between the fort.
Although the first step had been successful, to their surprise when the siege weapons begin to enter the dungeon, the first battering ram was destroyed by the sudden opening of a trap at the entrance some of the goblin engineers had also lost their lives in the process as they were pushing the ram forward.
”Mage what should we do, we lost the first battering ram and the backup 2 are stuck behind the trap.” one of the goblin knight that is on the other side called out to it.
”Get the engineers to create a bridge by using those ladders that we were supposed to use during the attack of the town.” without any hesitation the head of the goblin mage immediately commanded the goblin knight on what to do.
However, just as they were about to place the bridge over the trap, a spell circle appeared above their head.
Noticing that a huge spell circle appearing, the head goblin mage immediately roared out.”Mages cast your barrier spells.”
Chanting in a distance could be heard as a blue thin film appeared, not long after a fire storm cloud appeared and begin raining embers, however, the blue thin film blocked out all the flaming embers that fell from the sky.

”Boss, the fire storm isn't working, they got a barrier.” Tempest looks towards the ghost and said.
”Hmmm, burn their camp instead, once you are done. Stay here and monitor, if that group of mages get into the range of one of the wisp, cast a spell again and detonate the wisp to prevent them from casting those blue shields. I head in and try to prevent that goblin group from entering second floor.” The ghost replied Tempest, as he teleported to the first level hallway where the wraith knight is currently on standby.
