The ground was covered in large potholes and the walls were sanded smooth by friction.

Under normal circumstances, the Xiuhcoatl King would entrench a hole here. The thing that shocked Chen Xiaobei and Qie Loulan the most was the center of that hole, there was a charcoal gray chaotic matter like the blackhole in science books!

That dark chaotic matter was turning slowly like a bottomless ocean. It looked like a portal into another dimension.

”What is that?” Chen Xiaobei asked.

He had never seen or heard of anything like this.

”If I'm not mistaken, this is a tear in spacetime!” Qie Loulan explained. ”Back then, in order to build an independent dimension, I did a lot of research into space and secret ancient recordings and came across some articles about it! When a star undergoes supernova explosion or when there's a nuclear explosion, it could tear a hole in space. Most of them were able to close up on its own, and are not a threat to the balance of dimensions. But there are a small number of them that could not close up on its own and will turn into a special passage between two spaces that were not interconnected! And this one, probably already existed when I built this dimension. I think the Xiuhcoatl King used it to get through and attack me!”

Qie Loulan connected what he had just witnessed, with the knowledge he had acquired to come up with a logical conjecture.

This cleared everything up.
