The giant sword fell down directly above Chen Xiaobei's head.
The crushing force came down and split the ground open, ripping a 10 meter wide and few hundred meter long ditch.
Chen Xiaobei and Linghu Shuang's bodies had fallen into the ditch. No one saw what happened to them.
”You little twat! You're finally dead! Haha! So, you think you could fight me, Lu Changwei? Maybe in your next life! Wahahaha!”
Lu Changwei was high as a kite.
”Wow! How powerful! Is that the strength of a demigod? How scary!”
”Master Lu really didn't lie to us. We can destroy all of the Demonic Beasts with this combat formation!”
”Master Lu is strong and matchless! Master Lu is great and awesome!”
The people at the front lines cheered joyously as if they had already won.
The Demonic Beasts who had been observing them were completely flabbergasted.
”Wait… what? That Chen guy is so weak?! He didn't eve get a chance to counterattack! He died just like that!” the dark purple giant python said.
”That doesn't make sense at all! Why didn't he use the blood-red painting? Isn't that his lifesaver?” The giant ape scratched its head.
”We were all fooled by that kid!” The Tyrant Dragon King said. ”He may have been weak, and that painting was just a common weapon. He acted like he was really powerful, and made us weak in our knees till he was able to stop our army from attacking!”
”That means we fell for his trick?” The python said. ”That kid has one hell of a courage! If we had charged, he would have died already!”
”He has the guts and the brains! Because of that, he managed to act like he could overpower all of us here! That's why we fell for his trick!” said the ape.
The Tyrant Dragon King nodded. ”That Chen kid was talented. Unfortunately the people he saved are useless! Pathetic!”
”So, what should we do now?” The python asked.
”Do you have to ask?” The ape answered. ”That giant aqua sword must be the human's final trump card! After that, we just need to attack all of them together, destroy it, and defeat the humans!”
”No!” The Tyrant Dragon King shook its head. ”We don't have to do anything! The humans will be defeated on their own!”
”What? How is that even possible? If we don't fight, how are they going to be defeated?”
Both the ape and the python looked at their king quizzically.
”I have a plan!”
The Tyrant Dragon King smiled; a knowing look in eyes.

Due to the fact that the entrance of the canyon was narrow, most people could not see what was happening outside.
The ones behind could only find out by word of mouth from the people in front, that thr deafening sound they heard earlier was Lu Changwei killing Chen Xiaobei.
”How could it be? How could Lu Changwei kill the person who saved us?”
”Lu Changwei has crossed the line! Without the time Mr. Chen bought us, how were we supposed to make the formation?”
”Alright! Alright! Enough nonsense! Dead people cannot come back to life! Even though Lu Changwei is an asshole, we still have to rely on him to survive!”
”That's right! Everyone hold the formation! Don't get distracted!”
Except for the ungrateful bastards in the front line, the people behind had a sense of right and wrong, and were grateful to Chen Xiaobei. They were also pissed at Lu Changwei.
Still, they were in a precarious situation where Lu Changwei was their only hope.
No matter how much they despised him, they still had to transfer their force into the combat formation for Lu Changwei to use.
