ACE KIEN DE LAVE

I've been living here for two months now. Nothing change right from the start. We mind our own business. She's not always home and I'm always in my room. We don't kiss and we don't do other things with each other. We are engaged because of money or maybe because of power. I will not involve myself in getting attached to her.

I lean towards the window as I stared at the car parking in front of the house. She's home. I just decided to sleep again. She'll surely knock at the door any minute now. I looked at the clock on my wall.

*Knock* *Knock*

”Yes?” I asked with a bored tone.

”Let's go to the park today. I haven't had the chance to...” But I cut her off.

”I'm not in the mood,” I stated but I suddenly heard footsteps coming from the back of the door. She's with someone.

”Then go and visit your parents. Introduce her to them.” He stated. So, she called that old man to get me out of this room?

I just decided to get a jacket. But when I was about to wear it, I noticed the gun that this old man gave me. I grabbed it and put it at my waist. Then I finally opened the door and saw him smiling happily. But I looked at her and she's not looking at me in the eyes. She surely called him.

”Then let's go,” I stated coldly but I stopped when I noticed that he's following us downstairs, is he coming with us?

”Don't come,” I said then continued to walk.

I stopped the car when we were finally in front of the cemetery where Sean told me. I didn't go to my real parents. I'm here for those people who raised us. I had such a peaceful life when I was with them, that's what they said and I believe them.

I got out of the car and searched for their graves. When I finally saw it, I smiled sadly when I realized that they are not living in this world anymore. They are dead. I looked behind me and saw Sophia still walking. That's her name. Sophia Cassandra Smith. When she was finally beside me, she stopped and eagerly looked at the tombstone.

”Oww.” She said. She seems to be disappointed.

”Are they your parents?” She asked.

”The one who raised me,” I stated and sat down towards the grass. She did too.

In the next few hours, we didn't talk to each other. I just stared at the gravestones and tried to remember those days when I was with them. But this mind still can't remember a thing. I cried helplessly though I didn't let her notice me. Then I stood up and proceed to the car. It felt like she followed me so I immediately wiped off my tears.

When I was about to open the car door. A car parked not far from us. Just then, I realized that my phone kept on vibrating inside my pants. I froze when Sean had been calling me 34 times now. There's only one message from him though.

When I opened it.

My phone fell as the message tried to sink into my mind.

”She woke up,” I whispered. What will I do? I strangely walked towards them. But before I got the chance to get near them Sophia stopped me.
