Chapter 123 - Like He Was Charging Towards His True Love (1/2)
It was really an exercise in tolerance.
After he had typed the words ‘I will be responsible’, Fu Sichen still didn’t trust him and insisted on taking a screenshot. And as if looking at it once wasn’t enough, Fu Sichen looked at the screenshot repeatedly. Observing his behavior, Pei Zhen was sure that if it weren’t for the fact that wall notices were things of an ancient past, he would have turned the screenshot into one of those.
Pei Zhen was emotionally drained.
News continued to pop up. “What happened to Daddy?””Is there any news on Daddy?””Any gossips on Daddy?” filled up Xiao Nian’s computer screen.
Pei Zhen was terribly annoyed. “Ask again, and that’s it.”
Neither did he feel like playing online games. Devastated, he closed the Apple laptop and leaped off the chair to head out.
“Wait a minute.” Fu Sichen’s drawl came from behind. “Where are you going?”
Pei Zhen turned around and looked at him gloomily.
Of course, he was going out!
A man and a cat alone in a room in the middle of the night was too gay!
Things were better in the past when he had not known what intentions Fu Sichen harbored.
But now.
The telephone pole would really bend and snap if he didn’t try to avoid Fu Sichen.
“What about the responsibility you’d take?” Fu Sichen waved his mobile phone at Pei Zhen. ‘I will be responsible’ had been made the mobile security password. “Pei Zhen, I’m in a bad mood.”
Pei Zhen rolled his eyes.
“Hence being the guilty party, you have to atone for your deed. It’s a long night, and I need a cat for company.”
Pei Zhen didn’t know what to think.
His heart raced. In the end, wearing the pet suit that Fu Sichen sewed, the Persian cat fell asleep on the bed.
After a bath, the dashingly handsome Fu Sichen too plonked himself onto the bed.
The only light on was the little lamp at the head of the bed. It cast a warm orange glow.
“Sleeping?” Fu Sichen extended his arm to reach for a book; his beautiful eyes twinkling with laughter. “Come, shut your eyes and let me read you a story.”
