Initially filming was planned to begin on the second morning, but with a call from the director, Pei Zhen and Xiao Nian had to rush to the filming location late in the evening.

By the time they arrived, it was nine o’clock.

The idol drama called for a tear-jerking scene that took place on a rainy night.

The goddess leading actress was urged on by the supporting actress, getting ready to break up with the cutest guy in school. Accordingly, the wind rose, and it started to rain. The leading actor and actress were breaking up amidst the backdrop of the torrential rain.

It was so melodramatic.

Pei Zhen was embarrassed to the point of choking just reading the lines of the script.

“Hey, stop frowning.” They owed the director a favor. Knowing that Pei Zhen detested such storylines, Xiao Nian could only try his best to pacify him. “Do your best. The faster you get through this, the faster we can leave.”

Pei Zhen grunted lazily to indicate he understood. “Since when would your Daddy not give his best effort?”

Pei Zhen had a relaxed personality and air of nonchalance. Acting was about the only thing that he would be serious about.

Xiao Nian sniggered; he had prepared a big towel to give Pei Zhen as an indication that he could go all out for the ‘rain scene’.

Pei Zhen was twenty-five years old. In the entertainment circle terms, he wasn’t ‘young’. Good genes gave him a handsome face and skin that was smoother than most women’s.

With his makeup and costume on, it would seem that he was even younger than the female lead when he stepped in front of the crowd.

“How dashing.”

“So dashing!”

“The cutest guy in my high school wasn’t even this cute!”

“Woohoo, who can be better looking than Pei Zhen? Pei Pei is my brilliant moonlight!”
